OOC: This Article was supposed to have been up last night as the agreements and deployment orders were issued on 20 April 2099, but it was 1am and I was extremely tired and couldn't be bothered, so, this is actually meant to be an article for then, not the 26 April 2099.

Due to Mounting Pressure from the Black Legion and Coastal Raiders on the Southern Republic Government, the decision has been reached to intervene in the Civil War, as to prevent the conflict from spilling over into Novist, where Transvaal rebuilding and stabilisation efforts are already underway.

"The Stabilisation of the region, and the prevention of the Black Legion from coming to power in the Southern Republic is of utmost Importance to the Transvaal Republiek, and her allies and interests in the Region," Said Staatspresident Koos De La Rey, "Thus, we are announcing the deployment of assests from our local military base in the region to stabilise the Southern Front, which is on the brink of collapse, while more troops and armour from the Transvaal are in transit. The small intervention force should be able to intervene immediately to stabilise and bring the enemy offensive to a halt while the Force Intervention Division is in transit to the Republic. It is estimated that the FID (Force Intervention Division) should be arriving in positions to start offensives and drive the rebels back by the 26th of April, 2099"

Reports from the front show that while the Black Legion forces have large numbers of troops, they have very few if any armoured vehicles or air capabilities. This is expected to make offensives much less costly in terms of equipment and manpower for the FID, and should mean that the Black Legion will struggle to properly and quickly respond to the offensives of the highly motorised and Mechanised FID.
