Before I announce my nation’s rebrand, I will first announce that former President Winston Gray has been laid to rest in the National Cemetery in Vilania City. Over 400,000 people turned out to watch his funeral procession. Our beloved president will never be forgotten for his leadership.

I’m rebranding my nation from Vilania to New Vilania (so whoever runs the Orbis map, just add “new” to my nation name on the map). From now on, I will be called the Federative Dominion of New Vilania. My national history will also be rewritten to include five time periods:

Pre-Unification: The time period between the 9th century AD and 1304 when Vilania was ruled by various clans who vied for control over the various territories. Ended with the unification of the territories into one Kingdom of Vilania.

Kingdom: In 1243 the Kingdom of Vilania was established, ruled by hereditary monarchs from the Dacia family. The first king was William I, and the flag was this:

Dominion: In 1807 the country transitioned from an absolute monarchy to a constitutional monarchy after the Dacia kings became progressively more tyrannical. The people revolted, and King Adrian II, who came to power in 1806, agreed to become a constitutional monarch. An elected parliamentary government was established. The flag was changed to this:

First Civil War: In 1935 anti-monarchist republicans attempted a coup of the government to overthrow the monarchy. It nearly succeeded but failed, and a six year long civil war erupted between those in support of the constitutional monarchy and those who wanted to get rid of it. Eventually after six years the republicans won and the monarchy was abolished. The flag was changed to this:

Republic: In 1941 the Republic of Vilania was officially formed. It was supposed to be a republic with elections held every five years, but in practice it was an authoritarian state. The leaders, the Grand Marshals, ruled with an iron fist and began to provoke pro-monarchist sentiment.

Second Civil War: The Grand Marshal, Vincent Richmond, promised to hold a free election in 2006, but he won under dubious circumstances, and the election was almost certainly rigged. At this point, rebels who were tired of the Republic and wanted to return to a constitutional monarchy. A three-year long civil war erupted until the monarchists won in 2009, and the flag of the Dominion was restored:

Federative Dominion of New Vilania: Vilania was renamed New Vilania by its first President, Gabriel Goldwater in 2009 at the founding of the Federative Dominion, which restored the constitutional monarchy, albeit under a different system. The king was kept as the ceremonial head, but instead of a unicameral Parliamentary system headed by a Prime Minister, a bicameral legislature with a mixed presidential and parliamentary system was established. There would be both a President and Prime Minister, but most of the executive power would be vested in the president. This system is the one that exists today.

I will write a new national information bulletin and new bulletins for my new nation, but my old national information bulletin will remain easily accessible so you can still find information about the old United Royal Republic of Vilania. I will also retain the same RP territory I currently have.

Just a few things before I go:

-If you would like to refer to me in RP or in-game as just “Vilania,” that’s totally fine with me. I don’t mind at all.

-I’ll be making some major changes to my professional football league system.

-Because of an extension in the period when we had a monarchy, the King, Alexander IV, will now be Alexander V.

-The new President, Kenneth Watkins, has appointed Rafael Zamora as his new Vice President. Here are their official portraits:
