Commonwealth civil war ends

After many months of fighting, General Herrmanns forces have pushed up to the gates of Copenhagen. The capture of several naval ships and frigates by the German forces fired their missles and shells at the city. Many civilians have been killed in the attacks and enemy forces dug around the city. With no other choice, President Agard has agreed to sign peace with the rebel forces and surrendered officially shortly afterward. 

This treaty has forced the Danish government to recognize the independence of the german territories as a separate group, and the border has been reverted to a boundary that hasn't been seen by the country since the Great War. The status of the region in the commonwealth is unknown. The germans have made General Herrmann dictator of their new government as some call it the Schleswig Republic while the loyalist regions remain the Danish-Commonwealth and others call for simply renaming to Republic of Denmark or even bring back the monarchy or other ideas. It is a dark day for our nation.
