GBN (Inongrad)-           Thursday, former Head Councilman Velmir Sandelvinsky died. The former chief executive of Gavastek passed away following complications related to pancreatic cancer, stated Sandelvinsky’s daughter. According to his family, the former Head Councilman had been diagnosed only months prior as having terminal stage IV pancreatic cancer. Family of the former leader have asked for their privacy as they mourn the loss of a father, grandfather, great uncle, husband, and patriarch.
Velmir Sandelvinsky lived a very active life, pushing for several reforms as a member of the executive council. While serving his district, he spearheaded a constitutional amendment that would see the shortening of EC terms. Although he later lost re-election following its passage, Sandelvinsky accepted his defeat and congratulated his district’s successor, the eventual Head Councilman August Lindgren. Following leaving office, Sandelvinsky became an advocate for underfunded education across Eastern Gavastek, which tends to be scarcely populated and poorer than the nation on average.

Former Head Councilman shall be laid in state for one week with the Grand Chambers of the National Assembly per The Honor in Non-Jewish Death Act of 2001, then interred within the National Cemetery of Remembrance’s Garlendan Orthodox Christianity section, per the wishes of the family.
