Petersberg Falls to The Iron Legion

After two months of fighting off various military groups, the military garrison in Petersberg was finally overpowered by The Iron Legion. This defeat has cost the army its second-largest city and brought over 1 million people under the control of the Legion; it also gives the Legion control of one of the nation's nuclear plants, a naval base, and the atomic research institute which has the country's blueprints for nuclear weapons.

In more positive news, the army has regained control of most of the western part of the country and only faces a little bit of resistance from the WRA and United Workers' Front. However, the Legion still remains one of the biggest threats to the country as they have over 70,000 members, a number that will only rise as they gain more and more support after the collapse, and get more credibility after taking control of Petersberg.
