Mundusia Leads Independent Africa in Economic Modernization

 NATIONAL - ECONOMY

EconMundusia | As time passed, it had become increasingly obvious that Mundusia was on the rise to becoming a great and independent economic power in Independent Africa. Now, the nation leads in economic modernization - able to support ourselves without foreign aid for a very long time. In fact, starting with President Kopington's election into power, this incarnation - of sorts - of the Mundusian economy has been much better than its predecessors. Despite two wars straight which of so slightly held the Mundusian economy back, the nation still feels as if nothing has happened.

Eastern Mundusia, which had long laid either uncivilized, in farmer communes/plantations, in very small and sparsely populated towns and villages, or under gang control, has finally started to carry its weight and has slowly caught up. One such example is Matam, a small town which lies along the Senegal river. Previously, it was hard to access and extremely poor - to the point where even gangs and farmers did not wish to even visit. However, thanks to President Kopington's economic modernization program, the town soon turned into a semi-proper city. It was then upgraded to the capital of its newly created state, of which it was named after.

Another testament to the nation's path in economic endeavors, transportation. As such, with the correct amount of funds, the transportation industry boomed. Originally, the metro and bus systems were largely unfinished with abrupt and illogical stops. This majorly interrupted economic profits and incoming benefits. Thankfully, the Transportation Funds Program effectively modernized the system which helped the economy boomed. Such actions brought eyes on Mundusia along with respect from relatively notable powers such as the former Dauchh Palki.

The same could be said about the infrastructure. Despite large amounts of the southern regions (ex. Casamance) being unfortunately forced to reset in their building process due to the 2nd Mundusian War, the central regions have heavily carried the nation's infrastructure level. Skyscrapers and large buildings rise subtly in Dakar, and in Nova Thies brilliant architecture lines the smoothly paved streets and roads. This brings tourism, and even and increasingly numbering amount of immigrants, to Mundusia - which further increases the economy and economic development. To add to this, Mundusia's first hydroelectric dam - built along the Mundusian Gambia, now called by the locally favored name The Gambiesti, - is nearly complete.

Overall, one could say the main takeaway from all of this is that Mundusia is a growing world power. It is developing itself and populace faster than most Independent African nations. This also does not mention the growing military might, which has only increased after conflicts. International aid after said conflicts have further increased this development, to which Mundusia is thankful. Many expect for Mundusia to rise above the other nations in the near future basically, even Mundusia itself.

Sierra Leone Will Collapse as Soon as It's Free

 AFRICA - OPINION

z111.jpg

EconMundusia | The war rages on in Kolakia's West Africa colony between Kolakia and the Sierra Leonean rebels. However, one cannot help but notice the historical coincidence. Many countries in Africa had fought for their independence in the 20th century, nearly 200 years ago now. However, back then they instantly found themselves unable to hold together due to poor economics and nationalist agendas or ethnic tensions - and even the ones that could hold themselves had civil conflicts or uprisings everynow and then.

So now, the question is - will this new Sierra Leone be able to hold itself up if it succeeds in this war? Short and most probable answer, no. For a relatively long time, as the Sierra Leonean rebels themselves say, Sierra Leone under Kolakian rule had not been paid attention to until now. Along with this, it would be practically impossible to keep up with the rest of the world, and maybe even Africa, given how much the war would cripple their economy. These factors, all combined, would leave Sierra Leone in a very awkward situation, most likely asking for aid and bailouts from other countries.

Another piece to support these claims, the pro-Kolakian and pro-Independence sides of the Sierra Leonean populace. This will, sadly, either cause a civil war or a mass immigration to the Kolakian Guineas. Either way, this would simply not end well for the bustling new state - if it gains independence of course. In any way, loss of population would further cripple such a faux economy. If it were a civil war, it would be even worse - as the unprepared state would be entering into another war right after they finished the other.

Due to somewhat limited information, this expose must end here. Speculation, as hypocritical as this may sound, leads us nowhere. When new information is released, a separate opinion article will be created for those who found themselves hooked.

Air Defense Systems Upgraded, In Development

 NATIONAL - MILITARY

CTV-2a.jpg

EconMundusia | The armed forces have announced an upgrade in the air defense systems in Mundusia, along with more in development. These new upgrades will be reportedly useful in intercepting missiles and bombs before they can hit their target. This was seemingly the problem in both Mundusian Wars, as some forces in the coalitions had access to aircraft which could bomb from questionably long-ranges without leaving base. An estimated 30 billion Kranims were poured into this development project, along with recruiting some of the nation's best engineers to achieve the best effect possible.

The first upgrade was to the radar systems, which received a new vehicle. This new vehicle, labeled as the 3D-TAV64, is extremely powerful compared to the rest of the radar vehicles. It can handle up to nearly 140 targets, a range of 210km, and a range up to 20km in altitude. It can also track low-altitude aircraft and objects traveling up to Mach 3. The vehicle will be one of the first to detect objects intruding on Mundusian airspace.

The second upgrade was to the trusty Air Defense Force of Mundusia. As part of the 2nd Mundusian War, a massive number of aircraft were ordered to be constructed. Unexpectedly, the order had already been half-way fulfilled with nearly 85 aircraft being produced by the end of the war. Not wanting to scrap hard work, the factory production fell under the hands of the Air Defense Force Civilian Administration. The previous workers were kept and paid as such, which provided the boost needed to enforce the ADFM. To prevent overspending, only 125 aircraft were produced in all ten factories combined. However, these aircraft were much appreciated with a large majority being SuX-11s and Zya-51s - both being state of the art craft.

The final upgrade, technically a development, was to the Combined Altitude Command Center (CACC). The CACC is a new sub-branch of the ADFM responsible for calculating the altitude of all aircraft in Mundusia, civilian and military. This will be based on visual confirmation and radar confirmation. Due to satellites not being an option as of right now, ten vastly spread-out remote-controlled aircraft will survey their respective areas and corners of Mundusia flying at an unspecified altitude. If any suspicious aircraft are found, the ADF will respond with haste to take down the aircraft without compromise.

These new upgrades and developments will be useful in the future.

In my opinion your article on Sierra Leone provides quite good explanations on why Sierra Leone would likely collapse after independence and has made me think of even more good points on why Sierra Leone is better off with Kolakia. Sierra Leone’s GDP is a little under 7 Billion currently and the only reason it’s GDP is growing is probably because it’s part of a much richer and larger country, Kolakia, same with Population as it is easier for large numbers of Guineans and Mainlander Kolakians to move there and if Sierra Leone wasn’t a part of Kolakia, Kolakians would have little reason to evacuate to there instead of a stable and much more peaceful state. And Kolakia’s military assets in the area that the Rebels have seized would likely be given back to Kolakia even if Sierra Leone somehow won the war, making it probably the number one most vulnerable country as Kolakia and Kolakia’s Allies would for sure not have any ties or alliances with Sierra Leone and even another independent African State, Mundusia, wouldn’t seem to have much faith or have interest in helping Sierra Leone that much. And there’d also of course be at least some unrest which the disorganized and either un-strong or too-strong Government would have to deal with.

Ok, but thanks for the info but, we should do plans on building a sea base for your navy, since Areulia isn't going to send a whole entire Naval fleet for a petty thing
