Hellooo :)
To further stimulate growth in the British Empire, foreign company tax has been reduced to 10%; it previously sat at 20%. Such a dramatic change wasn't expected from Westminster but it is apart of an extensive effort to overhaul taxation and government budget. It's certainly an appealing prospect for foreign companies as it opens the door to the 2nd largest population in Orbis and the largest GDP on the globe. Additionally, London is home to a talented workforce, thanks to local universities with some being heralded as the best in the world, high immigration rates and brilliant work ethic.
Multiple companies have already flocked to open regional HQs in London. This includes the following:
Thai Uranium Company
PetroAsia
Blackpowder Studios
Tulip industries
Accenture
Eaton
Ryanair
Experian
International Holding Company
Invest Bank
TAQA
QNB
Spotify
Investor AB
EQT
AIA
Jardine Matheson
Chatterjee pharmaceutical company
If you have companies looking to locate a regional HQ in Britain, let me know!
An SAS whistle-blower has reported on the operations in Switzerland and Russia; according to the operative, a group of 80 strong SAS members worked closely with the Russian Mafia and the Syndicate to orchestrate raids on vaults across the regions. The 1st strike group were tasked with infiltrating Swiss vaults storing Russian and government assets. Supposedly, artwork, gold, digital assets and even expensive wines were extracted. Additionally, the strike group coordinated with British soldiers and the RAF in the region to extract the valuable assets. The prominent asset holder, Geneva Free Port, reported a 'complete siege' of the complex and almost its entire contents being looted. Alexander Pendragon publicly announced the following regarding the incident: "There is no direct correlation between the frantic, unorganised looting of Geneva and British forces. We don't deny that there is a possibility of our Infantry rebelling and joining the looting but our intelligence suggests it was orchestrated by Valoranian civillains taking advantage of the recent collapse of the government."
However, it wasn't only Swiss vaults targeted, Russian stockpiles were also supposedly looted. A 2nd strike group, split into multiple teams, scoured the nation to locate previous Soviet assets and escaped with them. British intelligence was aware of the majority of Russian vaults, making the job significantly easier. More than 30 prominent vaults were apparently targeted in the operation including (but not limited to) the following:
The Kremlin vaults
A mansion previously owned by Putin with a network of tunnels underneath
Museum vaults underneath Moscow and St Petersburg
Gold reserves located in Siberia
Gokhran of Russia bank
Central Bank of Russia vaults
The SAS needed the criminal organisations because they operated a network of smuggling routes to exfiltrate the goods. Moreover, they also possess the ability to enter the vaults.
The MoD commented on the accusations; "the claims are absolutely preposterous. Britain will never stoop to such a level and involve themselves with criminal gangs and we respect the sovereignty of both nations."
Escorted by Melonese rebels, British soldiers previously stationed in Spain pushed into the northern Spain-Melon border. They suffered minimal resistance from Melonese infantry loyal to the communist regime. As the march on Paris continued, more Melonese forces joined to overthrow the tyrannical government in place. Throughout the journey, British task forces split off from the main group to liberate towns, and cities and to secure military bases . So far they have reached Toulouse and aim to reach Lyon within a week.
(I didn't spend much time on this section, sorry)
Another megaproject:
The Eilean
Located almost 200 kilometres off the English coast, this man-made island will be responsible for the creation of a large portion of Britain's and Germany's power. Creating over 12 Gigawatts of power in its first year, it can almost provide for the entirety of London. It has been designed to be an electricity hub for offshore power farms in the North Sea. Its main island will house accommodation, energy storage system batteries, a spacious dock, a heliport, a small park for residents and an extension area in case the complex is to be expanded. The entire project will cost 6 billion pounds, including wind farm costs. If the island is successful, multiple 'energy islands' may be created in future and, if successful, the generated electricity can be sold to other nations along the North Sea.
