In a groundbreaking development, the Ministry of Civil Affairs, in collaboration with the Department of Elections, has granted universities and colleges across Barsia the authority to organize student union elections in a unique 'Tri-Polar Election' format. This decision comes after extensive consultations with various stakeholders and aims to promote democratic principles within educational institutions.

Under the guidance of the Department of Higher Studies, which oversees educational institutions in the country, comprehensive guidelines have been forwarded to the authorities to ensure the smooth conduct of these elections. Key provisions of these guidelines include:

Recognition of Three Student Parties: Only three student parties will be officially recognized by the authorities to participate in the elections, fostering a competitive yet manageable electoral environment.

Three-Year Tenure: The elected student union will serve a fixed term of three years, ensuring continuity and stability in student governance.

Replacement of Weakest Party: The party with the lowest margin of votes will be replaced by another eligible party, if available, ensuring that the student body is adequately represented.

Parallel Elections with National Elections: The student union elections will be conducted simultaneously with the national elections, providing students with an opportunity to engage in the democratic process at multiple levels.

Final Decision by Election Authority: The decisions and rules formulated by the election authority, headed by the Dean of Students, will be deemed final, ensuring transparency and fairness throughout the electoral process.

Ban on Affiliation with Political Parties: Parties on campus are strictly prohibited from having any direct or indirect associations with recognized political parties. Violation of this rule will result in a permanent ban, emphasizing the autonomy of student politics within educational institutions.

This innovative approach to student union elections reflects a commitment to fostering democratic values and active citizenship among the youth of Barsia. By providing a structured framework for student participation and governance, these elections are poised to shape the future leaders of the nation.
