The Sub, Sea of Japan, Orbis
Akimoto ducks her head as she nearly runs into an exposed pipe, “Kuso!” “Language.” Akimoto laughs, embarrassed. “Fair, now where’s the old man I’ve heard so much about?” “Logic suggests medic bay.” Akimoto shrugs, “He could be in a position that he can’t be moved.” Akimoto and the doctors go to the medical bay anyways. “Hello?” Akimoto and Kinoshita stare at each other for a couple seconds, Akimoto then walks straight up to Atlas with the doctors and injects Atlas with the sryinge she was holding while the doctors tend to his injuries. “Mr Atlas, can you speak?” “Well enough to ask who you are.” Akimoto laughs, “I am ‘Prime Minister’ Aki Akimoto of the Ajakon Confederation.” Akimoto holds her hand up, “I bet you’re wondering what the Confederation is, no?” “Frankly, I have more pressing issues at the moment.” Akimoto grabs a different syringe, “I need your permission for this, mind if I inject some nano-robots into your bloodstream to help your healing process?” “I’m old, not stupid. I’d rather not have random syringes pumped into me.” Akimoto raises her eyebrows, “Naito trusted them, Mr Atlas.” “NATO?” Akimoto enters a coughing fit, trying to hide her laughter. “PFF-fake coughing- Not- NATO- Naito! Akane Naito!” Atlas takes a second to think. “Ahh, Akane.” “I was hoping that you’d trust these, I mean, I used them for when I got shot in the f**king stomach.” Akimoto sighs as she realizes she has to convince an old man to take new modern medicine, “Mr Atlas, as the leader of the Ajakon Confederation, I compel you to take this medicine.” “As the (“Former” Akimoto interjects) Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of the Mediterranean I declare that you are in no position to bark orders at me.” Akimoto raises her eyebrows, but sighs, “Your daughter is in my nation’s service currently, it’s because of my interest in what you did to her that she was saved from being a street nurse for the rest of her life, Atlas.” “My daughter hasn’t spoken to me in over 10 Years.” Akimoto’s face expression twitches and she loses her composure, “WELL, YOU MESSED WITH HER BRAIN, WHAT DO YOU THINK SHE’D DO, HUG YOU AND SAY ‘THANKS DAD’?” Akimoto is breathing heavily, “I’m no better, but you, you messed with your own daughter, used a Japanese Division and SpecOps team to coup your government, genocided quite a bit Dragonovitians, and abandoned your country when it needed you the most. Take your f**king meds before I shove them down your mouth.” “You, pathetic little worm, have the guts to spill such lies before a man twice your age and grandeur. I have seen more in my lifetime than your entire bloodline, I have lost everything I possessed and still rose above it. You come onto my ship, you dare to raise your voice at me and then you attempt to force your machinery into my body. Leave my ship before I have you shot, you disrespectful little child.” Kinoshita looks between Akimoto and Atlas. “Ma’am, Sir, can you both set your egos aside for a second?” Akimoto glares at Kinoshita, “Shut. Atlas. I am leaving this sub, but the two doctors I brought will stay to tend to you. If I see even a f**king scratch on one of them, I will send you to the depths of hell.” “I will greet Satan like an old friend then.” Akimoto turns and leaves, her kimono swishing behind her. “Tell the helicopter pilot to pick me up, I’m getting the f**k out of here.” Atlas sighs and closes his eyes. “Disrespectful youth…” One of the doctors speaks up, “Lady Akimoto is dealing with depression and shock, she recently had to press the big red button on The New Olsztyn Company. I am her therapist.” “Diplomatic missions are nothing for the depressed.” The therapist/doctor clucks her tongue, “That I agree on, you however, have cancer.” “I am well aware. I’ve had it for a long while now.” She raises her eyebrows, “Those nanites are helpful, but I won’t force you to use medicine you don’t trust, so I’ll wait to suggest help for when we arrive at Niigata.” “Speaking of that. Which of you was the one to contact us?” “What do you mean? With the coordinates? I think it was one of your old officers that was monitoring news. From what I know, you gave the Yumi quite a fright in the Mediterranean.” “Is that officer on board?” “He’s on a fishing boat that’s near us.” “Send that man down here.” She walks away and comes back with the officer. “Kinoshita, hand me my glasses please.” Kinoshita hands him his glasses. “Ah, I thought so. Papaioannou old friend. I’m glad you have yet to forget about me.” “Pleasure, old man.” Izuma trips and falls while ‘spying,’ “eep!” Atlas tries to sit up to get a better look but fails miserably. Papaioannou speaks up. “Izuma! What are you doing down here!?” “i- uhh-” She stands up, “Is the guy… Atlas? A war criminal and human rights abuser?” “Why don’t you ask him yourself? First hand sources are always the most reliable.” Izuma walks into the room, “Hi, are you Atlas? “In flesh and blood.” “I… have a couuple questions.” Izuma fiddles with her hands “Ask away, youngin.” “I don’t want to make you uncomfortable though…” Izuma sighs “Can’t get any more uncomfortable here.” Atlas laughs.
