Military operation ends with success
The Ministry of the Military announced that the Military operation against the Turkish rebels in Meg has ended with Meg wining the fights.
After the last ground attacks were Megisian and Sedrosian armed forces freed the land, People who were evacuated and lived in the 45 hotels that were given for free in Mariada went back to their houses and returned to their normal life. The people that were assigned to the list of evacuated people and were given a free hotel room and 750€ were also just given a check of 200€ for extra support after the decision of the Minister of Welfare.
The Prime Minister Andrew Sup announced that if there was damage in their properties they may report it on www.minwel.meg and they may get support by the state the conditions are:
- The property is used either for residential or Commercial purposes (the property must not be abandoned)
- The property is yours for a minimum of 4 months
- You agree that the property will be used either for residential or commercial purposes for a min of 10 years (if abandoned for more that 3 years punishments shall be taken [5.000€ - 250.000€* fine / up to 4 months in jail]) (* = can be more if agreed by court)
The state can help you by:
- Renovating the property
- Submitting you money that must be used for renovation purposes
- Tax cuts
The person making the report can say if he wants the state to renovate his property, give them money to renovate the property or give tax cuts to them to have more funds to renovate the property.
CEO of Conference Corporation dies unexpectedly
The Chief Executive Officer of the biggest Megisan Company, Conference Corporation, has just died unexpectedly without a given reason by the doctors. Pavlos Iou died on 31st March at 12:02 after having a heart attack without any Healthcare problem. Medical prosecutors will go through the case so we will know more soon.
Mr Iou having 68,35% shares of ownership in ConCor had him being the owner of the bussines. All of his shares were given to his 16 year old son, Aggelos Iou, who just became one of the most rich people in the world while attending high school. Aggelos made himself the CEO of the company and made a meeting with the company shareholders and BoD. It's reported that the President of Meg Alexander Marinakos called him to ask him about the situation and support him at this difficult time.
1st National Assembly held
The first time that a National Assembly meeting will be hold is about to happen after the decision of the Megisian Government.
The new National Assembly will consist of 4 equal powers. 1st is the government. All upper positions, Minister positions and the Presidential position will have the government part of the Assembly having 25% of the votes. The 2nd power is the invited part. They are people who were invited by people in the Assembly. They must be special people that were invited for a good reason. They also hold together 25% of the votes. The 3rd power is the people part. When a national Assembly is about to happen people can apply to represent the people of Meg. The accepted applications will be in to randomly select the once representing the people. They all together hold another 25% of the votes. The 4th part is the independent part. To apply they must be: Bussines owner or MPs of opposition or representatives of inter-governmental organizations or students of megisian universities.
All parts have freedom to vote whatever they want but 2 people have veto powers. The Prime Minister should sign the decisions that strongly include economic changes or veto it if the country doesn't have the funds. Also the President can veto decisions that can't be done because of legal, diplomatic, or geopolitical reasonings. So any decisions can be vetoed either because of economical problems (done by PM) or Legal, Diplomatic and Geopolitcal reasonings (done by President)
