The queen and king of our sweet island have been married for more than 2 months now. In the most snowy and wintery days leading up to Christmas, the news of the "secret, peasant" royal wedding travelled through the western isles and then to northern Scotland and the Shetlands, Orkney so forth...

They married in St Clements church, just near Leverburgh, in Rodel, in the most southern parts of the isle of harris. It was a plain "sheep farmers'' wedding, as fresh and rich as the glittering salt waters and waves that ripple in the lofty Hebridean breeze.. a peaceful island day.. with only the strumming of a peasant folk song and the talk of sheep for company.

since then the king and queen left for the isle of York. They sailed to king Meriwether's home, and from there it is said the king, at present, rules both York and our quaint island from his grand throne.

His new bride is by his side of course and apparently according to recent words from those who have seen her, it is believed that "she is full of life, blooming like the cherry blossoms; She has devoted herself to her husband and seems to be smiling all the time"

The duke of Caithness and his daughter visited York recently, where they were hosted by the King and Queen. Their opinion on the Queen's current situation is perhaps the most well known and most accurate. This is because the duke and his daughter stayed at the royal palace and attended numerous balls and festivities hosted by the king himself. These balls were attended by other high nobles and even kings and queens from other kingdoms, who were lucky enough to be invited.

The dukes account also paints the least positive picture of how the queen actually lives. Many have suggested that it is fraught with bias and intentional political persuasion. but overall the column is now viewed by most of Scotland and the western isles as an accurate and reliable account of how the queen is living.

On returning home, the duke published an official Column that was printed in the People of Sutherland  or muinntir Chataibh. He described the queen as "a woman no longer upheld by honour, who by means of dogmatic and old fashioned standards, has been reduced to nothing more than simply a servant girl who serves a misogynistic egotistical and domineering man."

he went on to say

"she has lost her dignity; she bakes bread, makes breakfast..  the kitchen is her new court." ... and what for may I ask? Marriage?

It is harsh to say, and to speak of the most graceful and elegant young woman from the isle of harris and lewis in such a cruel manner  should indeed be considered treason.. but sadly the truth is that this is what has become of her. She is trapped in a life of servitude. And apparently happily so it would seem. Yes indeed she does smile, but it is such a tragedy to see a woman smile at her situation of being captured by the rule of a man. A man who seems to be very content with having her so dependent on him.

During my stay I held my tongue. fear of the evil king has spread far, even to Sutherland. I knew of his wicked and reckless ways. Therefore it was unwise to speak. I am home now, and upon my return to my home in Caithness... immediately I began contacting the editor of this paper and began writing my recollections of what I had experienced in york. "

People have said that the love that the king has for her is evidently very great… he apparently has been revered as a true gentleman who upholds the ideals of chivalry and wisdom. Many if not all the women call him handsome… and the men fear and respect him deeply. But the truth must be stated that his actions show little regard for our current progressive society. He is behind the times yet leads us all… his strong anti feminist sentiments are very clear and have been made clear. His opinions that the queen should only serve as his wife and not enter into politics and roles of authority, have been stated boldly by the way in which he treats his wife and expects her to obey him silently and without protest.

She seems to accept this cruelty with pathetic happiness. Certainly the queen is deeply in love with him and seems to enjoy her servitude and life in the castle kitchen preparing his meals each day. It is a tragedy that, when witnessed, makes one feel sad for all those who once looked up to her as a female role model in a position of leadership and empowerment.

And what is the reason for this placid acceptance of her slavery? I believe it is Love.

In a society without love, women will be empowered and strong. The queen should never have married. Instead she should have remained alone and independent ... But alas!, because she loves the king, she has allowed the king to enslave her"

The column although well received by the majority … has been met with  some harsh criticism and even anger from those in the far right community.

One youtuber who is known for making content aimed against lgbtq+ communities and offensive content that promotes harmful sexist disinformation  uploaded a video titled “woke community targets scottish queen for LOVING her husband  … what has the world come to”

In the video with 30,000 views, the youtuber states ``so now it seems that love has come under the firing point of the woke mob… this young woman evidently loves her husband and is devoted to him … and the extreme left can't stand that.. No, that's not allowed… how dare she make dinner for the man she loves.”

“It seems like they don't want anyone to be happy” the youtuber stated. “From what I've heard he is a great man and he loves his wife…I’m sure he is not happy that the left are targeting the woman he loves …. I’m  sure it won't be long until he makes his move to stand up for her… from what I've heard that's the type of man he is.”

Alarmingly there have been quite a few content creators on the far right making videos that are in support of misogynistic views.
