The Republic of Beii National Enfranchisement Board together with the National Religion Board has opened an election on whether or not an enforcement of Catholic belief will be enforced nationwide.

More than 80,000 residents are eligible to vote. Voters must cast votes no later than April 20, 2097, and the results will be announced on April 30, 2097.

With around 97% of the population being Catholic, the results are probably predictable and will place a burden on Islamic and Protestant populations within the nation.

A Muslim resident said to CNN Beii, "If the election turns out to be in favor of the enforcement, I hope the government comes up with some exceptions. I have to remind the people of my nation that this country is a republic and no autocracy enforcement should be applied. We deserve to live free of worries and free of religious persecution. I do not know why they decided to do this election at first, but it just seems unwise to me given the fact that we are a republic."

May 1, 2097 - The Republic of Beii WILL NOT enforce Catholic belief. This legislation was overruled with a popular vote of 71,251 (out of 87,600) and an Electoral College vote of 0-50.
