Kopington Announces Yearly Economic Plans and Budget Focuses

 NATIONAL - ECONOMY

EconMundusia | President Kopington and his administration has announced the yearly economic plans for 2097, along with the budget focuses for the year. These will outline the allocation of funds and resources and set a base for the economic progress to come.

First off, the yearly economic plan for 2097. President Kopington has stated that the government will start to push more funds to Eastern Mundusia, especially towards native states. Unurbanized cities in desperate need of resources reportedly sometimes back up the government process. As such, these cities will be given enough volunteers and resources to last for at least three years.

In the western regions, more support to the service industry will be given. Transport and markets will be given additional support, considering the rather lackluster state of them as of the moment. More funds will also be given to the economic district's build up.

Next, the budget focuses created by the combined administration. The budgets for Environmental Peacekeeping and International Aid Production will both be cut by 35%. This will be in favor of the budding Education industry and Law Enforcement.

Agriculture will also receive a cut by 5% in favor of Transportation. This is for the yearly economic plans and so that Transportation may develop in general.

All other industries are scheduled to stay the same unless something tragic happens.

The Madeira Dependent Overseas Territory will be developed largely, in hopes of it being a large point of trade circulation in the Atlantic. It will also be developed to fit a military base and port on the other side of the main island.

Rouene Foreman: Rising CEO, and politician, of Mundusia

 NATIONAL/SPOTLIGHT - BUSINESS

EconMundusia | As of recent, a new name in the business scene has appeared. His name is Rouene Foreman, the rising CEO of Aikelos Corporation, a relatively new company that seemingly controls the mining industry of Mundusia. Despite being unknown for a large time, his apparent skills in the industry have brought him to the spotlight of the present.

His career began rather recently, just one year ago. Mundusia was recovering from the war and needed large industrialization. This is where Foreman came into the picture, founding the Aikelos Corporation and quickly taking advantage of the nation's unclaimed mining lands. A large majority of them were phosphate mines, which are needed to make rich fertilizer, which further is largely used by rural farmers.

This dramatically boosted Foreman's influence in Eastern Mundusia, and indirectly boosted his influence elsewhere nationwide. Such a leverage made Foreman's name known across the nation. Even some talk about him, reportedly, spilled over to neighboring countries. This ultimately led to Foreman's increasing popularity and noticeableness in the nation.

He has also become a politician of sorts recently. He publicly announced that his company would "never conduct business with Soviet-based companies", and also that he would "possibly" run for President of Mundusia in the 2100 elections as an Independent. Foreman also gave a speech about how Mundusia "must be stronger in the future to overcome all incoming obstacles. Whether seen or unseen, we must prepare." This, also, has boosted his popularity.

This has been a spotlight on Rouene Foreman, a rising CEO (and possibly a future president) of Mundusia.
