Lot Island, a tropical nation known for its sunny weather and sandy beaches, was hit by a massive snowstorm on Monday, leaving the island in a state of shock and chaos. The unprecedented blizzard, which lasted for several hours, dumped more than a meter of snow on the island, causing power outages, road closures, and widespread damage. The island’s residents, many of whom had never seen snow before, were caught off guard by the sudden change in temperature and weather conditions. The government declared a state of emergency and appealed for international aid. The Prime Minister, Klevin, who was abroad on a diplomatic trip, cut short his visit and returned to the island to oversee the relief efforts. He described the snowstorm as “a nightmare” and “a disaster of epic proportions”.
