EXCLUSIVE - NEW AIR DEFENSE SYSTEMS NOW PRESENTED

BREAKING: Joint research conducted by CoRDSA, Thies Anti-Air and Transport, Melodus Aerospace, Zapithoya Aerospace, and QW-Industries has produced the shining result of a new C-RAM/Short Range Air Defense System based off the previous one. After the old systems were destroyed by Beanstopian(Raritanian) Armed Forces, researchers and the government have been desperately attempting to build one again. The system, called Astiere (Officially Astiere-M1), went into its primitive stages of thought 2 months after the Mundusian war and was finally due for release yesterday. Live testing was conducted with the systems on a missile that was recently and specifically built for this test. 

As the test missile launched and started to head towards the isolated targeted location, the interceptor missile (called the Rouen interceptor missile after the former Mundusian capital) was launched from the soon-to-be Northeast Missile Interceptor Quadrant (NMIQ). Designated speeds were detected to be circulating around Mach 1.9-2.1, and reaching up to the max height of 220km before descending slightly and starting to chase the test missile. Upon closing in, the interceptor missile activated its proximity fuse which destroyed the test missile and itself. During the entirety of the test, the maximum estimated range of 60km was stayed true to.

The missile portion of the test was considered a success by all who watched and monitored it. The anti-aircraft autocannon (called the Astiere-M1/B) was to be tested next. A large drone took flight in the also soon-to-be Northeast Anti Aircraft Weaponry Quadrant (NAAWQ) and quickly reached altitudes of 3-4km while traveling at a steady speed of 250km/h eastward. Nearby radars connected to the autocannons found the drone from the maximum range of 120km. Military personnel released the Manual Safety Precautions on the autocannons and let them lock-on to the drone and rotate appropriately.

When the drone reached within the 50km effective firing range, the autoloader was activated and the autocannons were prepared for firing. After the autoloading sequence was completed, the autocannons fired simultaneously at the specified radar-locked location of the drone. Of the five autocannons in the NAAWQ, only three hit their target precisely - although one actually took down the drone. A nearby fleet of five faulty drones was also launched from an undisclosed location 45km nearby. As the Manual Safety Precautions had not been turned off, the autoloading process was activated. Soon enough, the shots were fired and all five hit their respective targets. This was noted as "the autocannons have trouble with singular targets, but perform well with numerous targets on radar." This has been deemed "possibly exploitable by the enemy" by the Department of Defense and Security and is currently being troubleshooted.

The new weaponry has been widely congratulated by the entirety of the Department of Defense and Security, though. President Karl Kopington also congratulated the project's overall progress and possible adaptability for the future of Mundusia as a whole. The full Air Defense System, along with all four complete quadrants, is scheduled to be built no later than 2098.

NATION - ECONOMIC MODERNIZATION PLANS CONTINUE WITH HELP

NATIONAL: The plans laid out by former president and QW-Korps General George Zefvr have been officially signed as a "continued bill", meaning that the Senate has formally continued the plans from the previous administration. President Kopington said this on the matter: "The once useful and cultural infrastructure of the pre-balkanization era is now no more than bygones to time. They must be removed to clear up space for the projects of the new era. If anything is able to be salvaged, we will try our best to do so to the greatest extent. Along with this, tax systems must be made simpler and more effective. This is all for Mundusia's future as a growing economic nation with bright aspirations, and to combat against the ongoing recession that has the world in fear."

Despite the ongoing 3rd Great Recession that is ravaging the world, Mundusia is yet to be hit. However, this does not mean that the possibility is unlikely. As more countries contract this viral economic contagion, the people of Mundusia have long worried about the fate of Mundusia if it were to get hit by said contagion. Going off of this fear, the Senate and President Kopington have also officially instated the Internal Political Advancement Bills. These bills will help the economic modernization move forward quickly, along with building the government's ability to quickly respond to economic and political policies.

Alongside this, many of the national companies of Mundusia have started to monetarily support these two plans. Most notable of these companies is Zapithoya Inc., a major national company in Mundusia. CEO of Zapithoya Inc., Ferrirore Loztinzo, stated that he "brought together the national companies so that the process was sped up faster." Loztinzo further noted that "Not a single one of us desire for this dreaded recession to arrive in Mundusia. If it does, not only will it be highly unwelcome, but also Mundusia will most likely be fated to collapse under economic pressure. We utterly forbid it from happening, if pure luck does not."

Volunteers from across the nation have also pitted in to help with the plans' progress. Even those from Eastern Mundusia, formerly known as the Eastern Natives' Land, have volunteered to help, somewhat understanding the urgency of the possible situation at hand. Provincial and Local Government Cooperation has also been a huge help in the plans' progress as time goes on.

Calculations by the Ministry of Economy, Revenue, and Economic Development estimate that the plans will take no less than one to two years. Economists have also stated that Mundusia is on track to become the world's rising star in economic profit through these times of recession.

POLITICS - EXPANSIONISTS GLARE AT CAPE VERDE

NATIONAL: As of recent, an expansionist movement that call themselves "Faux-Lereans" has recently gained public attention for their speech they held on July 20th. During the mentioned speech, a total of 10000 people showed up, with one person recording the entire thing. At the event, the "Faux-Lereans" spread Anti-Sedrosian sentiments to the crowd and tried to incite an invasion of Cape Verde. Ultimately, the event ended with police cars showing up after someone in the crowd called them over with the justification of inciting racial tensions. 

The recording of the event went viral on national social networks such as Postiere, Felctest, and Reqinter. It was met with mixed reactions by many people. Some were not joyous about this in the slightest, and not only wanted the movement to be eradicated, but also wanted the individual members to be arrested. Leader of the Liberal Democratic Party, alongside the leaders of the Democratic-Republicans and the New Trader's Party, heavily denounced the movement's actions. In a statement, Dean Karolste, leader of the Liberal Democratic Party, affirmed his position of "a country of collective peace and communal prosperity, not of long-lasting war and avaricious politics".

Meanwhile, the exact opposite of this has arisen thanks to the help of the New Republican's Party and the newly registered BONMUSOEN - The True Mundusian Homeland's Party. Auckle De Cannone, leader of the New Republican's, has issued a statement claiming that he will agitate for both the annexation of Cape Verde along with the reopening of Operation Götterdämmerung. Ian Serifom, leader of BONMUSOEN and a Faux-Lerean, has also claimed that he will agitate for the annexation of Cape Verde and the reinstation of former traditional social structures. Together, these two parties have formed a coalition of somewhat to combat those who speak against them. 

Other parties, however, have simply ignored the issue and have been focusing on the next elections. Despite all of this, the situation remains real and increasingly worrying for the general populace. President Karl Kopington made a public announcement, stating that "if the two parties do anything funny while I am still in power, they will be smite back down from whence they came. Sedrosian-Mundusian relations are neutral, and we wish for nothing to change that at the moment." This seems to have calmed the two parties down a slight bit, but the tension is still alive and real.

WAR - INFANTRY DIVISIONS IN SOUTH DALIAN EXCLUSION ZONE

S.D.E.Z: As the war on the nation of Balhae rages on, more nations get involved with the conflict. Attempts to preserve a "pure" ethnicity from Balhae. The maintainment of the "No Fascism" policy from the Soviet Federation via invasions and bombings. Both of these combine, in some weird and contradictory way, to create an environment in which none shall live unprosecuted if no alibi is given for them to do so. "Innocent civilians, no matter their ideology or personal beliefs, should not be persecuted with death if no violence is committed or ordered. Instead, they should be saved by any means possible." The previous statement is a doctrine of the Mundusian Armed Forces.

Per this doctrine, the Senate and the Ministry of Security and Defense authorized the securement and creation of a exclusion zone in Mundusian-occupied Dalian. Infantry divisions were readied on July 20th and finally arrived three days ago - July 28th - for their mission. The 6th, 11th, 17th, and 21st divisions peacefully occupied in the remote Yujia Village via a route they made with Zhongmu Road after they landed through Laochuanwu. From there, the divisions parted ways to capture land for the future exclusion zone more quickly.

The 6th and 11th Divisions captured the northwestern area of the Lushunkou District, starting with the Jiangxi Residential Area. Moving forward using the Binhai Highway, capturing various other areas along the way while trying to calm down the villagers in the area. Ending up in Shuangdaowanzhen, the divisions split up into their respective brigades. Yet again using the roads and highway, the brigades ended up capturing the Dachaokou Bay Area. Moving westward, the divisions had soon occupied the entire northwest area. Battalions of the 6th Division were sent to each area to set up a permanent zone for future refugees. The 11th Division was to wait on standby for a collective push to capture the Lushunkou District.

Meanwhile, the 17th and 21st Divisions had occupied the southwestern area already and had done basically the same thing. They had captured Gaojiacun along with the Tieshan Residential Area. The most difficult part was navigating through the remote areas. A large part of the southwestern area was apparently a nature reserve, which blocked the coastline. After around three hours of navigation, the divisions had finally made it to the coastline before occupying it with a battalion, heading back, and contacting the other divisions.

After resting for a while, the divisions converged in the midst of dusk, planned a strategy, and proceedingly rushed towards the district's east side. After three hours of running and walking, a defensive line was set up on the border of the Lushunkou District. Further occupation was not needed, as the divisions realized that the only place that needed protection was the coastline and that, seeing that the area was going to be an exclusion zone from the war, there was no need to worry about a revolt. The only real worry is Balhae's actions that will possibly conspire from this. A siege of the occupied/excluded district is always possible, which is currently keeping the division members awake and alert at night.

Turning the topic away from the army's actions, over 30000 innocents have already arrived in the exclusion zone due to Sedrosian, Soviet, Chinese, and Balhaen actions. A survey has already been released, which states that of the 30000 that arrived, around 20000 arrived via "a mad dash" through the battlefront. The other 10000 refused to answer.
