Recently, the Second Texan Republic has faced grave military defeats at the hand of The Enterprise. Humiliated and needing time to recover, General Roberre (Texas' Army General) directed a slower process of re-militarization in order to prepare the republic for future threats. However, such plans were thrown to the side when, on June 24, 2096, the Duchy of Kazia declared war against the Second Texan Republic.
The unexpected attacks took place when Kazia's aircraft, almost undetected by General Fisher (Texas' Air Force General), flew over San Antonio, striking key military installments in the city. Still reeling but ready to fight, Texas' brave Air Force took to the skies, suffering sizable casualties but punishing the Kazian planes that had dropped the payloads. Unfortunately, the damage, especially against civilians, had already been felt. Many lives were lost as the battle raged above the city.
However, this morning, Admiral Scott (Texas' Naval Admiral) sent a fleet of ships towards Kazia. A Houston Times Reporter on the ship was able to capture the attached image, showcasing the TXS Bonnie Blue opening fire on Kazia's third-largest city, Akria, decimating the ships docked there and crushing those that later arrived as backup. President Bruin says that Kazia has much to fear now that Texas has been able to mobilize- and warns their Duke that he's "in for a hell of a surprise".
