Trutan Industrialist -Trutan joins Atlas against Valoriana!

Yesterday Valoriana began a ground assault upon the unincorporated territories, destroying large amounts of civilian infrastructure as well as sever garrisons and depots owned by Airialine Co. and the Phalanx group. Valoriana officials state that the attack was directed towards Airialine holding in retaliation to their support towards Atlas and participation in Atlain air raids. In response, the Trutan Board has recently announced the full support toward Atlas against Valoriana yesterday in an emergency meeting, and has begun contracting and mobilizing all nation PMCs against Valoriana.

In related news, an massive air raid by Atlas and Airialine yesterday morning has destroyed several high priority targets across Valoriana. The attack targeted key military stockpiles across the nation, including fuel dumps, munitions stockpiles and military ports. Military officials have reported that the attack destroyed 90%> of its targets. In a statement this morning, President Michael Reynolds called the attack "The greatest victory we could have asked for." Most notable was the bombing in the capital city of Aveloria, which resulted in a extremely large blast which could be felt across the city, video's of which have been widely circulated across social media. Atlian official say that the target, a military port, was originally believed to only be a storage for ship parts likely contained several tons of naval munitions. Since the attack, Militech ships in the area (originally present defending private shipping lanes before being contracted for the war) have reported a "mass migration" of Valorian civilian and military ships towards several other port cities. Some are even claiming that no ships at all have entered or left Valorian waters since.

Airialine Announces "Temporary pause" in Iron Dome Development

Two days ago Airialine announced that it would be temporary pausing its development of anti-missile defense systems to focus on other area. The so-called "Iron Dome" project was announced several months ago to much acclaim, riding Airialine's successful launch of the "Gladius" line of fighters and the sell of long-range missiles to the Hegemony. However, despite a promising start, the program soon came to a halt after the failure of multiple prototypes in live combat testing, and  rumors have circulated that company has gone over budget and has requested further investment from the Hegemony. The company stated that it's involvement in the Atlas-Valorian war has forced it to pause the program until operations slow down. However, some are accusing the company of using the new contracts to quietly shelf the project permanently. Despite some volatility at market opening, Airialine stocks have retained their upward trends, in no small part due to the signing of several large contracts with the Republic of Atlas.

Western Scarbough Calls for Peace

In the wake of Trutan's entering into war with Valoriana, Western Scarbough has sent a declaration to Cerberan to argue for peace. Western Scarbough, a ally of Valoriana, has accused the Hegemony of acting in violation of the "Anderson Scarboughan D' Boire"  and has called to an end of hostilities as a means to prevent civilian casualties. The Trutan Board of diplomacy has rejected these claims, stating that we are not bound by the and that continued war is necessary for the long-term security of our nation and by extension, our citizens. 

Recently, however, video of a lower level Scarbough staffer has made rounds on Trutan social media. The video, which shows the staffer calling High Administrator Leo Durkhiem a "uncaring dictator" among other things has caused an outrage on social media. Many have begun accusing Scarbough of enabling Valorian's attack on Atlas, while others have have begun circulating a conspiracy theory accusing the state of acting on the behalf of Scarbough's native Cogwheel's Inc. in order to push Trutan PMCs out of the market. In response, Head Diplomatic Officer David Welch has released a statement reminding citizens to "keep a cool head" and reminded them that the statement was not indicative Scarbough's official stance, and stating that he hopes for a stronger relations with Scarbough in the future.
