A rarely high altitude lightning spotted
During a thunderstorm one of the least documented and rarest forms of upper atmospheric weather phenomena was observed and even photographed! Yokep Rokossovsky, a weather enthusiast from Krislo, set up his high speed camera to observe a thunderstorm that was rolling over North Abadha. “I heard this was a pretty powerful storm, and it was passing by me during one of the last days we would have a good night to view lighting.” was his response to RAP reporters asking why he had the camera up in the first place. Speaking of what even are Elves? Well, Elves is an acronym for “Emission of Light and Very Low Frequency perturbations due to Electromagnetic Pulse Sources,” Elves are an indistinct type of transient luminous events. Elves have only even been known to exist for just over 100 years, first being documented/photographed in the early 1990s. Another phenomena that occurred at the same time is a Red Sprite. Red Sprites are large electric discharges inside the mesosphere. These two rare phenomena are both extremely large in size, the Elves being ~150KM across, and the Sprites being ~45KM from top to bottom. The Red Sprites lowest altitude was ~35KM at the bottom of the tendrils and ~80KM at the peak. That sounds really high right? Well the Elves happened at nearly 100KM above sea level!
Photo from Yokep’s high speed camera shows not only an Elves (the red ring looking thing), but also a set of Red Sprites (The significantly brighter things in the middle). (actual credit to these guys : https://spaceweatherarchive.com/2022/page/5/)

King hosting convention for foreign officials in Ankansk
In an attempt to be more active on the world stage the King is hosting a convention in Ambusin. The objectives of it are yet to be publicly announced, but it is believed the week long Ziolen street festival is going to be scheduled alongside the convention. “This is in not only our best interests, but also for foreign nations.” King Salamar posted to Zilto.com, the dominant social media platform in Ambusin. His statement isn’t without merit considering the Aya oil field producing a large surplus of 365,000 barrels per-day and a total of 592,000 barrels per day, Ambusin’s mining industry is significant enough to be an asset, and Ambusin has control of a strategic waterway for regional neighbors as well as a valuable airspace for commercial flights. However we will see how this develops, and of course we will update you when we can.
