St. Frederick I’s Military reform of 2096

New organisation

Generalissimo- Tsar St. Frederick Peter Romanov I: Whatever the supreme Tsar says; goes. He may listen to the ideas of the ‘Belarusian High-command’, the ‘Stavka’, who is 2nd in command (with the field marshal)

The Field Marshal and the Stavka- Field Marshal Kazimir Rasolka is the 2nd in command of the army, alongside him the Stavka who he both leads and runs (of course under the Tsar). Field Marshal Rasolka also runs the army (i.e, leads the purchasing of weaponry, 2nd chief of army staff, makes drill regiments etc). The Stavka is also led by him and play a crucial role in military coordination, planning, strategy, doctrine, theories and much, much more.

The Head-Governor-General- Head-Governor-General Count Tsimon Jelizarjeǔ is somewhat the 3rd or 4th in command of the army. He is the 3rd leader of the Stavka and is crucial in leading the army in war.

The 5-star General- 5-star General Sir Polski Zasinaz is arguably the 4th-5th most important in the command chain. Once again an integral part of the Stavka. Ranking below him are the other Generals, Majors, etc.

The Chancellor, the Assembly of Belarus, the Carski court and the Church- While all key factors and can choose/make military planning to an extent (e.g, giving Parliament soldiers to fight in wars, increased funding, martial law), they don’t hold the same amount of power. The Church however can persuade the Tsar into holy war.

The Belarusian Imperial Ground Force (BIGF)
Organised into field armies, each made up of multiple corps.

Corps- A large military unit of 2-3 divisions. Will be used as the primary tactical and administrative unit in the army. (out of RP, i will go into more detail with them in a separate post)

Divisions- The basic manoeuvring units of the army. They are composed of several other forces including infantry, mechanised, cavalry, and artillery. They are formed from several regiments.

Regiments- Fundamental organisational units. Comprised of battalions/squadrons

Battalions and squadrons- Battalions are the basic tactical units of infantry while squadrons for cavalry (which yes, is still heavily used in both patrol/reconnaissance and the battlefield/ceremonial). They consisted of companies of troops.

Standing army

The 2096 Fredrickian military reforms of the Belarusian Imperial Guard (BIG) have now made a promise; a promise it shan't break, and a promise it must fulfil! The promise being, that the BIG, no matter how the rest if Tsardom is running, it [The BIG] shall serve to protect the people of Belarus, under God, away from harm and stand as a testament to Belarussian power. For this, the Royal Stavka has stopped the use of feudal levies and on-and-off conscription for a better determined army. An army of more disciplined, better trained soldiers that are more well equipped.

A modern army

The Stavka has stated that the nation will be either destroying, selling or putting old equipment away and focusing on modernising the armed forces. For this, a much higher budget of $723 million is being allocated for the use of bettering the forces.

The nation of war

The Belarusian Imperial Guard, after the economic crash rares down, is set to get an extra $14.1 millions OBD to begin constructing many munitions factories, armouries, workshops, farms and military cities all throughout the Tsardom. This is mainly being done to stop relying of foreign imports for weaponry and for once again achieving self-sufficiency, something the nation has been edging to go back to.

Table of ranks

The Law of the Table of Ranks starts a military hierarchy which promotes individuals to higher roles based on merit and competence rather than dynasty and title.

Administrative Reorganisation

To help fasten, control and organise the military, the nation is being split into different military districts, each under the command of a Governor-General. This helps better supply lines all over the nation.

Fortifications

A large, stone and metal wall is set to be constructed in the Soviet-Belarus border, along with this modernisation of the Great wall of the City of Minsk is set to start construction and more and more cities and towns are set to undergo the same.

Underground tunnel project

In an effort to help the guerilla aspects of the army, modern, underground tunnels are set start to be seen. They are set to be fully furnished, with hang-out zones for soldiers, beds, shops, hospitals, etc. Along with this, nuclear bunkers are also said to be popping out more.

Code of St. Frederick

A long sermon a soldier-to-be must read and analyse, written by the Tsar. The book talks about faith, training, history, conduct and much, much more.

Cultural/religious ties within the army

Not much has changed with this one. State-sponsored propaganda within the nation counties.
