History of Kolakia

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS MADE FOR INFORMATIVE REASONS AND IS SUGGESTED FOR STUDENTS AND LEARNING, MAY BE IMPORTANT TO NOTE MOST OF THIS IS PASTED FROM “HISTORY OF KOLAKIA (2091-2093)”, BUT LOTS OF TIME WAS STILL PUT INTO EDITING AND ADDING, SO WE HOPE YOU READ THIS.

HISTORY OF KOLAKIA (2091-2096)

EARLY HISTORY

Kolakia’s history as a nation is usually considered to have begun on May 21st, 2091, when Kol Volk, the leader of a Russian-American group known as the “Vokas” mostly from the Dauchh Palki and Beanstopia declared Kolakia an independent nation but it didn’t gain world recognition until September 2091, when Beanstopia became the first country to officially recognize the young Kolakia beginning the two country’s long and close relationship that continues in modern day.

MORE ABOUT THE RUSSIAN-AMERICANS

After years of a slowly growing American-Slavic community in the area, a 40 year-old Kol Volk officially became co-leader of a new mostly Russian-American autonomous group with his good friend Conrad Dorokhin, the second co-leader. Under the new leadership of Kol Volk, they began traveling for months until they decided to settle in the former U.S. State of Virginia. Here they slowly built up the land and their population. During this time Dorokhin died, leading to Volk being declared the only leader of them and giving him the power. Shortly after this Kolakia was declared a new nation by Volk but had trouble getting international recognition until making an agreement with Raritania giving Kolakia a new map, though this map would eventually be replaced with a new one giving Kolakia a bit more lands they wanted though it never really officially was replaced but it was decided to just keep it as no nation’s borders seemed to be violated by the new one.

EARLY FOREIGN RELATIONS

Soon after this Kolakia continued improving relations with Raritania, which would eventually become Kolakia’s biggest ally and back Kolakia almost all the time. Around this time discussions also began with the Imperial State of America or ISA which claimed South Carolina which Kolakia also claimed and it was decided to split the land in the Treaty of Carin, but shortly after it was signed other nations including Raritania said the ISA had illegally claimed land from Rimskaya and the AFR, luckily the disputes were short and it was decided to give the ISA land in Tennessee, but it lasted for a short time as the ISA quickly collapsed and left Tennesse unclaimed until Legio Caesaris annexed the area to protect it.

Around this time the now General Chairman Kol Volk announced democratic elections but only for majors of cities and governors, but this still opened the doors to democracy in Kolakia and after it’s support continued to grow, the Government decided to allow elections in early June of 2092.

A GROWING NATION

 Immigrants and tourists were also welcomed as the government thought this would great improve the young nation’s economy and elections for the General Chairman were officially declared by Kol Volk pleasing many democracy supporters. The first elections in 2092 saw many parties and candidates. The Parties and their nominees in Kolakia’s first election including the Federalists (Kol Volk), the Socialists (Irina Baskov), the Liberty Party (Elliot Foster), the Nationalists (Nikita Andreyev), the Conservatives (Sophia A. Rice), and the Democrats (Devon Raul).

Shortly after the first Election in June Kolakia began building up it’s naval technology through it would take many months until the project was actually finished. Kolakia also began researching new missiles for the military and bought some Norman-6 missiles from Raritania which helped in testing and development, though the researching is still not finished to this day.

WAR AND SLOW DIVISION

Kolakia declared support for the ponies and the current government of the UUA (United Unions of Appaloosa), the current Government at the time, after the Appaloosan Civil War started because of a Changeling rebellion. This was also the first time Raritania and Kolakia were not on the same side in a war, though Raritania didn’t support any side and only bombed the frontlines in an attempt to prevent fighting between all three sides. Though in the end, the Griffons won in a surprising victory after negotiating with the UUA, a similar end to a Civil War to Kolakia’s eventual Civil War.

Despite not supporting the Griffons after the Appaloosan Civil War, eventually relations began to improve with the Griffonian Empire too until it’s very young 16 year-old Empress, Groverina, banned ponies and made new policies hurting relations with Kolakia, but after ponies were unbanned and an agreement was made, Kolakia sold 170 T-80 light tanks to the Griffons improving relations again.

Kolakia also bought Bermuda from Canada after some short disputes. The Island was turned into a State shortly after and a major port for the Kolakian Navy and trade with other nations in the Atlantic.

The M.K.U. (Monarchist Kolakian Union) was also founded around this time and Kolakia’s Parties began to become rivals slowly dividing Kolakia until it finally exploded.

THE DEATH OF VOLK AND BEGINNING OF CHAOS

On October 16th, 2092, at around 2:00 PM, Chairman Kol Volk was shot near the chest by Anarchist and former criminal Gregory T. Ron a bit after beginning his speech to a large crowd. After this, Kolakia’s stability quickly began to plummet and many Kolakians were worried about their beloved founder and first leader.

On October 19th, at around 6:00 AM, Kol Volk officially died after a failed surgery to try to remove the bullet and save him. Soon after Vice Chairman Gryphon H. Lee was officially inaugurated as Kolakia’s second General Chairman and Kolakia entered days of mourning but they had little time to mourn as the Anarchists began their first major rebellion in Kolakia on October 22nd, they also launched attacks on Kolakia’s Raritanian ally assassinating prominent Beanstopian PM ZTurklus Memerodon and narrowly failing to assassinate Raritanian leader  and founder Memem Aster.

                    CIVIL WAR

Soon after countries like the Griffonian Empire, Legio, and Raritania began choosing sides to support. The first to declare support for a side was Legio who sent many many soldiers to help the Nationalist’s cause as they both wanted a dictator in charge and committed war crimes, despite this, the Federalists, the current Kolakian Government, would eventually become good allies with Legio. The second nation to declare support for a side was the Griffonian Empire, which sent hundreds of Griffons and about 300 tanks to support the MKU or Kolakian Monarchists. The Civil War was brutal and soon after the Civil War began the Empire of New France declared it’s return and asked Legio to get out of it’s land as Legio was a puppet of the RoDevs Empire, a New French ally, after refusing Legio declared full independence which led to the Great American War, soon after Kolakia sent a few thousand troops to support it’s allies.

Eventually the war was a loss, but Kolakia was still mainly focused on it’s brutal Civil War and after buying chemical weapons from the Plutocracy of Sardinia the Nationalists led by Nikita Andreyev began committing atrocities against the Federalists and civilians in the area. Roga State and Bermuda also revolted asking for more autonomy or even independence from Kolakia, but they had no foreign support at all and had very little good supplies or equipment leading to them being the easiest rebellions to crush out of all of the others. The MKU made solid advances threatening Starkov which if captured, would cripple the Federalist’s navy. So Operation: “Ashes” was initiated after Raritanian troops arrived to help push back the Monarchists and the Offensive ended in mostly success but the Monarchists still didn’t surrender but offered probably the most important and consequential truce in Kolakian history to the Federalists that would change Kolakia to a constitutional monarchy so the King wouldn’t have too much power, but eventually that would change.

After uniting, the new Monarchist-Federalist forces were able to crush other rebellions and the 1st Kolakian Civil War ended on March 7th, 2093, after the Nationalists finally surrendered. The war had left an estimated 150,000 Kolakians dead and many buildings destroyed or ruined. And a terrorist threat was still there.

“WAR” WITH THE BLACK LEAGUE

Shortly after the Civil War officially ended, citizens across Kolakia’s AFR ally were shocked and outraged after a terrorist organization known as the Black League bombed the capital killing a total of 27 people and injuring 112 more. After the bombing, most of the Black League and the people responsible for it fled to South Carolina, Kolakia, and Kolakia allowed the AFR to send veteran soldiers after the terrorists and also sent Kolakia’s own troops to push back the terrorists and after a while the terrorists lost much of the Kolakian territory they occupied, though the Black League would eventually remerge even stronger.

THE AFTERMATH

After the Civil War, Kolakia officially became a constitutional monarchy and James Campbell was crowned the new Kingdom’s first ever monarch and began the House or Dynasty of Campbell too. And Gryphon Lee was still Chairman. It took a while, but Kolakia was eventually able to mostly recover but the Civil War had changed it and will likely affect Kolakia for the rest of it’s history.

Under a new Monarchy, Kolakia was also able to become Allies with the young and not widely recognized nation of Ioannia, despite it not being widely recognized by every country, a marriage was still arranged between Princess Anastasia, daughter of Ioannian King Alexander I and Prince Christian, son of King James, both 18 years-old at that time.

Kolakia was also involved in the Unsloth Rebellion in Northern Raritania, which was a victory with the Rebels being crushed. Another major event around this time was the Allegheny being officially declared a protectorate and years later, being fully annexed into Kolakia after it’s Government randomly collapsed.

The consequential Coalition Wars also took place and controversies began between Raritania and New France, though eventually New France would fortunat- I mean very sadly collapse, giving Tennesseee to Kolakia.

Kolakia also supported the South in the 2nd Appaloosan Civil War, another military success for Kolakia and it’s Allies as the North was crushed.

A GROWN NATION

By this time, Kolakia could definitely be considered a well-known, respected, and major nation, though it was still smaller than it’s neighbors, it was now apart of a new 3-way Alliance, TEAP, or The Eastern American Pact, with the name and constitution of the pact being made by Kolakia. TEAP would eventually become a global alliance known as TUA, the United Alliance.

Another major event before this was Kolakia finally, after years of research, constructing their own missiles, though their missiles have never actually been used before, but they have been tested. Kolakia also continued to see more technological and economic growth with Kitioyosho, a wealthy Korean Car Company, setting up factories in Kolakia.

Kolakia also got involved in the fourth AFR Civil War, supporting the Monarchists and arranging the coronation of Prince Christian as their new King and present day King.

ELECTIONS

In May 2094, the 2nd Kolakian General Elections officially began, but millions of not only Kolakians but foreign people were surprised when the M.K.U., or Absolute Monarchy Party, won! This basically casied political parties to cease to exist in Kolakia, which unsurprisingly, was met with resistance and eventually, a full-blown Second Civil War.

CIVIL WAR, again…

Soon after the elections, rebellions broke out, mainly the Socialists and PLA (Palkian Liberation Army), though there were some just anti-monarchist non-socialists or Palkian rebellions, which were 5e weakest out of them all.

Luckily for Kolakia, Raritania and the AFR sent support to their ally. But the war would be tough, and King James knew it.

One of the first major offensives was by the PLA, which tried to connect with their other rebellion, but as Raritania reinforcements already stationed in Kolakia quickly arrived, the offensive was a failed for the rebels. Carin was also just barely secured as the Socialists dug in and tried to defend against the large Government forces and AFR.

The Socialist Kasa Free State (KSF) also got involved, sending troops to support the Socialist war effort, but this turned out to be a huge mistake, as Kolakia’s Allies and TUI sent troops and forced Kasa to surrender.

The civil war would see many deaths and battles, but after months of fighting, in early 2095, the Monarchy came out on top securing the King’s dominance in the government.

While all of this had been happening, the massive and long UEC-APSA was happening, despite it’s huge impact on present Orbis history, Kolakia managed to stay neutral along with basically all of it’s Allies. The Civil War and ruling over an entire nation also took a toll on King James’ mental health, eventually leading to his abdication.

THE RISE OF FELIX

After King James abdicated on August 1st, 2095, Felix François, husband of the King’s daughter and princess of Kolakia, Elizabeth François, was officially coronated as the new King. Almost immediately after being crowned the second king of Kolakia, Felix made successful education and military reforms, including conscription and much heavier training for troops.

Felix also began nationalistic programs making most Kolakians very patriotic. After this, Felix began a new chapter in Kolakian history, the one we are currently in. He began rapid expansion, starting with the annexation of Kentucky, he also fully annexed almost all of West Virginia and the Allegheny, making it no longer a protectorate.

Despite only being crowned around 7 months ago, he has still made some very important changes and recently produced an heir to the throne, Prince Felix, named after him. He also made some controversial changes including the purge against Furries and Socialists, though supported by some, it did cause a recent rebellion in Kentucky which was easily crushed.

King Felix François I has shown to be more “guns-ready” than King James and despite only moving to Kolakia a little over 2 years ago, he has shown to be exetremely patriotic and a smart, young, leader. But the question is, will Kolakia continue to get stronger and bigger? Or will it eventually collapse? It’s future may seem to be bright, but any moment that can be easily shattered.
