December 29, 2023 | The Christmas Season

In a short span of a week, Cossackia finally finished the designs for the Cossackian Ruble for 2024 and beyond. For this article, we will allow our journalists in The Karlagrad Times to explain the Cossackian Ruble before we can allow you to scroll down and look at our currency designs.

What is the Cossackian Ruble? by Nicole Valencia-Gustavo

Since Cossackia was a nation, the Philippine peso reigned supreme throughout Cossackia, in our economy and transaction with other nations. However, a new currency will change all these in the name of independence from the Philippines. Cossackia adopted the Ruble currency in Russia and made it their own, making Cossackia one of the only nations using the Ruble as the currency, along with Belarus and the unrecognized states of Abkhazia and South Ossetia and in parts of Russia-occupied Ukraine.

The dynamics of the Ruble is that 1 Ruble is equal to 100 Centavos. However, the original ruble calls 1/100 of their currency as Kopecks. Since Cossackia is based in the Philippines, the subunit adopted the Centavos system from the Peso currency. They use the Ruble sign ₽ to punctuate as a suffix to the currency.

This was not the first time Cossackia attempted to make their currencies, in particular their design. For so long, the Cossackian Ruble was never materialized by any banknote or coin in their storage. And although designs were made, they were only available for the 1000 and 100 rubles. The following are the old designs. Be advised, Gacha Club-related content is expected.

Top-Bottom

  • Old Series" ₽1,000, the only banknote ever minted of its kind in 2021.
  • "New Series" ₽1,000, minted from 2021 to 2022.
  • "New Series" ₽1,000, Obverse
  • "New Series" ₽100, minted from 2021 to 2022. The first non-1000 ruble denomination to ever be printed, with the former first lady displayed in the currency.
  • "New Series" ₽100, Obverse

The currency designs were ill-fated, designed personally by the Premier. Unfortunately at the time, there was no research as to what's more to show the Cossackian people. That the designs were crude and vague and that it doesn't display any show of power of any kind. And with the Gacha Club as the software available at the time to make portraits of people, it was never designed for this purpose. Though authorization was allowed by Rodrigo Duterte and Benjamin Diokno at the time, printing the currencies was futile, as designs for other denominations were never released. And so, the Cossackian Ruble remained dormant.

However, plans for an electric Cossackian Ruble were underway. Successfully, GCash, PayMaya (now Maya), PayPal, and many more currency services and banking institutions now support the Cossackian Ruble, though in numbers only. Until today, the currency was only recorded, but not materialized.

Research by the Ministries of Finance and Education is underway to discover and reconstruct Cossackia's old currency before the modern era, which it was during the time of the Cossackian Empire to the Republic of Cossackia. On the part of the Ministry of Education, the reconstruction of historical figures was successful, meaning: It's goodbye to Gacha-faced money and nepotism. Also, there is a high potential for improvement. Speaking of which, Premier Soyokov created the designs, this time with the help and support of the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Finance, and the good old Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (Central Bank of the Philippines). They put time and effort into the redesign and discipline to get every denomination its own banknote. It ended up being a huge success. We will hand over this segment to the government and they will also explain how the Cossackian Ruble works now. Please welcome Ms. Tuka Lemenevskaya, the Secretary of Finance.

The 924 Series

Thank you Mrs. Gustavo for your report. Now, we will introduce you to the next series for the Cossackian Ruble. Behold...the 924 Series!

The 924 Series - In remembrance of 924 years of Cossackia's existence and continuation.

No more are the days of Gacha-based currency illustrations, jolly news for some. We finally stepped up our game and created the newest designs. It is similar to the Philippine Peso design, but we finally carried our promise and brought to you the banknotes and coins for 2024 and beyond. Colorful currencies, more faces, and this time, we have coins for our Rubles! Same old feel, a different new design. And we finally understood how to make the currencies, simultaneously how to mint coins, and more sophisticated processes and protocols in minting our currency.

Our new banknote designs will be made out of 10% Philippine Abaca, 10% Cotton, and 80% Polymer, which means the paper will have the same materials as the Philippine peso symbolically, while also lasting longer. The coins will be made out of bronze, silver, and gold. All banknotes are now equipped with security strips, watermarks, and double-sided paper. Surprisingly, we made time to release an alternate version of the 1000 Ruble bill, with our current president Bongbong Marcos. This shows our fealty to the Philippines as we use the design and are an independent nation.

The Cossackian Ruble Currency

We will officially release a statement regarding the Cossackian Ruble's dynamics as of today. We plan for the Cossackian Ruble to be pegged to the Philippine Peso and the peg value changes depending on the performance of the economies of both states.
