Supreme Leader Varela signs order for outstanding debts to be payed
The Caudillo has recently signed a government order to quickly pay off truly outstanding debts accumulated by the old Iberian government. The first payment has already been prepared and to prove the legitimacy of the government’s ability to pay off the debt, Varela has invited the Korean SGP to come and collect the supplies payment due to them themselves and as a sign of goodwill shall not charge any docking fee for the Korean vessels this time.
This is only the first step in the journey for the nation to become truly stable and independent financially. In the words of the dear leader himself “If we are to create a true paradise, we cannot be held back by petty debts accumulated by an incompetent government”
Caudillo and government secretaries develop “Iberian Great Leap Forward”
As the Caudillo begins to stabilize the nation and crack down on corruption, he and his secretaries have begun to develop what they call the Iberian Great Leap Forward. Here is what that plan will include and the estimated time in which each project will be completed.
(Some of the following will be done using small amounts of forced or child labor but nobody actually knows that)
2095-2098- Iberian agricultural revolution, become largest global producer of several crops (citrus fruit for example)
2096-2100- Grand Port of Lisbon, several very large ports will be constructed in Lisbon to bring mass wealth to the city (nearly all, proceeds will go towards improving the quality of life and building proper housing for the people Lisbon poor or otherwise)
2095-2097- Full Trade routes in the Mediterranean, self explanatory
2096-2105- Complete Infrastructure overhaul
2095-2102- Construction and mobilization of a “Greater Armata” (Heavily upgrade the navy/ Air Force)
2095-???- Potential Iberian reunion (hopefully through diplomacy)
2096-2100- Medical research and development- heavily upgrade the Medical industry (which is owned and controlled by the government now) and research new and better ways to cure disease
2095-???- Begin constructing a proper space program
2095-2100- Overhaul of Iberian Education system
2098-2105- New Metropolitan center for growing population
2096-2098-Prison system overhaul
2095-2100- Complete removal of Communist influence
2095-2105- Complete self sufficiency in Economy
2097-2102- Construction of Varela Hydro Power Plant

If so, whenever the finer details can be figured out (Like where the trials take place, who will be transferred, how many, etc)

If I’m not mistaken, the entire “Leap forward” should cost about 700-800 billion and since Iberia (the banned one) had a GDP of roughly 3 trillion iirc, I gave myself 1.1 trillion
So that and the fact that
A: I’m a dictatorship/Stratocracy that is not afraid to commit certain abuses for the greater good (prisoners get to do some unpaid labor)
B: This whole thing will be funded and completed over a period of roughly 12 years (I’m planning to have some setbacks as not everything can go to plan)
