İmportant note before starting:
This story may contain statements that contradict historical events. and it should be read without seeking any historical truth. The same goes for grammatical errors. It was written just for fun, with no intention towards anyone (real). Thank you for your understanding.

I left the village 4 days ago. They are taking us to Kars, the weather is freezing, I thought they would give us enough clothes for the cold winter. If I had known this would happen, I would have taken the woolen cloak inherited from my grandfather. What good did these damn Union and Progressists* did to the country anyway?

Now we are in Erzurum, the cold here is colder than the mountain cold. We are freezing. May Allah curse Enver Pasha.

We are in Sarıkamış. It's freezing cold in here. Some soldiers froze to death. We havent fought much of a war againist the Russians yet. I hope I see my children, even if just one last time, before I die.

Half of the soldiers died from the cold. Hasan, who came from the village with me, also died. May Allah have mercy on them.

War is over. We lost. They sent me back to defend Trabzon. if ı come back. I won't leave even one of these damned Russians there.

We are fighting against the Russians and Armenians in Sultanmurat**. The Pontics*** are also attacking. I won't return to the village until I send them all to deepest place in hell.

If I see this Enver Pasha again, I will strangle him. He said we lost because of Armenian gangs. He will send them all to Syria. Let's send them away. Even if he sends them to Syria, we cannot win without a good commander.

-Ah, the remaining pages are torn. I wonder who these writings belong to? These are at least 180 years old. Maybe my father knows. I'd better send him that notebook's photo.

WİKİPEDİA ALERT! cuz i am lazy to be a nerd and explain everything.

*İt was a revolutionary organization and political party active between 1889 and 1926 in the Ottoman Empire and the Republic of Turkey. The foremost faction within the Young Turk movement, it instigated the 1908 Young Turk Revolution, which ended absolute monarchy and began the Second Constitutional Era. From 1913 to 1918, the CUP ruled the empire as an authoritarian one-party state and did some suspicious things which ı will not say in there.  The CUP was associated with the wider Young Turk movement, and its members have often been referred to as Young Turks, although the movement produced other political parties as well. Within the Ottoman Empire its members were known as İttihadcılar ('Unionists') or Komiteciler ('Committeemen').

** It is a plateau in the Çaykara district of Trabzon province.

*** Pontian Greeks or simply Pontians, are an ethnically Greek group indigenous to the region of Pontus (now it is eastern and middle of blacksea region), in northeastern Anatolia
