beneath the pine trees that slumber in the Scottish highlands, weighed down with a blanket of snow... the colossal peaks of the mountains of Glencoe arise in the beautiful sky. The quiet hills, the silent days spent here are so lonely. There is not a soul that wonders here. It is the dead of winter.. It is night-time and the dawn that will come here cannot be expected for some time now. The fast descending snow is dancing around us. together the nature of the moor has turned his whispers into a gale so strong that nothing weak will remain here.

The wedding between rosemary and the lord Meriwether was set to take place before Christmas but....  could it really ever happen? The cold and distant king was nowhere to be found. The queen herself was lost in a little house made of stone in the middle of the moors and mountains that had imprisoned it. The pathways were all cut off and broken away. The rivers knotted and twisted around and formed a maze where there was no way out.

The fire that had once remained roaring within its place was dwindling away. The ghostly flickers of its flames shone and made the castle glow a most pallid gleam.

"Perhaps in another lifetime I would have seen your face again" the queen said calmly. She looked outwards... from the window... and saw nothing but snowflakes slowly traveling down to the frozen heather.

~ But then it is another lifetime... or so it seemed.  The story of course said so. The royal wedding was to be set for Christmas and the golden flames within the fireplace were far too pronounced, to allow for the cold of winter of succeed in vanquishing them. Despite a civil war and public who hated him, lord Meriwether would make himself king. The usurper would achieve his goals and destiny. He threw a large handful of coal into the fire place and smiled as it  sparkled for him.

"forgive me fate... I've seized and defiled  you.. Bending you to my will was a pleasure" he said this with a calm voice. as the fire twinkled in his evil eyes. His fierce glare never left the flames and so the flames could not dwindle away. it was almost as if the fire had been forbidden to die.
