Military and Diplomatic blunders happen many times, often they're small and unnassuming. A patrol goes slightly too far and ends up in foreign territory, a jet flies too close to a nations exclusive waters, sometimes a naval vessel gets too close to another nations ship. The one thing they all have in common is that they don't escalate, a few choice words defuse the situation, some apologies, some trade, and then its back to international business.

Today, we can't say the same. A small military incursion by allied forces of the Commonwealth led to a major escalation in armed conflict, Combat Wings of the Astoreian Air Force, during a Combat Air Patrol in international airspace led to an escalation of tensions between two nations who had never even met. The nation state of Yeetsville's own aircraft met, and after failing to properly identify themselves on open channels, engaged Astorereian forces in the waters around the Adelaide Peninsula. The ensuing air battle snowballed into a full fledged aerial engagement for air superiority above the waters as Astoreign F/A-18's engaged with Yeetsvillian air assets, leading to a devastating loss for the Yeetsville nation.

Thankfully after the battle, diplomacy prevailed with Astoreian diplomats entering talks with Yeetsville, leading to a cooling of tensions and reparations being exchanged by Astoreia in exchange for trade deals and peace.
