First Edition: How to Fix Orbis Roleplay.

First Edition.

This is the first edition of fixing Orbis Rp. It has recently become quite evident that no one is really trusted to be realistic because of their egos and wanting to avoid being humiliated on the stage. Orbis Rp was meant to fair, somewhat realistic and not a toxic cesspool full of egotistical brats. This is the first of many editions that will be used to focus on fixing rp. Hopefully these Editions can be used for the United Nations of Orbis and as a guideline for how we should conduct ourselves in rp and not act like a bunch of idiotic brats. Some of you may not like this, and let's be realistic here, it's probably because you thrive abusing these systems for your personal gain or boosting your already bloated egos. 

This edition will cover void abuse, God Rp, Bulletin Spam, and inactivity.

VOID ABUSE

This has become a rather growing issue especially when it comes to wars or just anything that people don't like. For example some people would void trade agreements because it would result in an enemy country getting resources they don't want them to have. Here are some precautions and guidelines for this problem. Unfortunately other than like 2 people everyone in the community had done it. 

• The only time you can void someone is if it's directed towards you, your involved, or your going by section 4.
• You need to have an actual reason for the void and list those reasons. Be sure to list evidence to back of your reasoning. Don't be a scumbag and edit your past bulletins so you avoid the void. If you are caught doing this once your bulletins will be constantly monitored and screenshotted by the Unity Pact.
• Voiding entire countries is not an effective way rp and only breeds toxicity.
• If a conflict is deemed to be too toxic and is actively harming rp overall, it will be voided if the majority agrees. 
• If you don't want to be in a conflict or apart of International problems, you can declare isolation and all attack or actions against you are voided. However it also forces you out of having an international presence. Meaning if a civil war is taking place across the world you cannot help. Your pacts and treaties are rendered invalid until you come out of isolation. However you cannot use this as a shield whenever you want. If someone declares war on you, you either finish it or agree to their demands before going into isolation. If they had plans for going into isolation and had a storyline or other nation were given info that they were going into isolation then that war is voided, however evidence must be provided.
• Joke Bulletins are not to be voided as they are clearly jokes and are typically good ways to critique others or point out problems in rp. Also are just jokes.

These are some basic guidelines we should honestly follow for when it comes to voiding because voiding has become such a problem and is one of the most core problems in rp. What should we void?. While many people would simply say God rp, what exactly is God rp? Which is our next topic but let's finish the void problem first. 

   Only void if it's absolutely necessary, try to get the person to change the reason for why it was voided because people can be understanding and hopefully would either tone it down or bring it up more depending what the issue is. Try to communicate first before immediately going void, because honestly it just kinda makes you sound like a whiny btch. 

God Rp.

What is God rp exactly? This is a genuine question and a rising problem in the community. Many don't seem to understand wtf God rp actually is. Many just assume it's whenever someone is winning or doing something "unrealistic". 

So we'll be covering a basis as to what God Rp actually is. 

• Unrealistic time frame. Many people don't seem to understand that Orbis has its own time frame and many don't seem to follow it. No you cannot laser weapons in just 3 months. Nor can you develop Mach 20 drones in 2 months. You have to actually put in time to research this sort of thing and actually wait it out. It doesn't take that long. 1 year in Orbis is roughly 1 month irl. Just be patient. Take Rodev's for example, he researched his mechs for 7 years, not 3 months. Reverse engineering other people's stuff also takes a lot of time and not easily done. Probably at least wait a year in-game to get some sort of results.
• Ignoring enemy defenses, and their positions.
• Claims of simply beating the enemy. You need to tell us how exactly you beat the enemy force, otherwise it would be classified as God rp as it would seem like they just died of a heart attack.
• Just because you have advanced technology doesn't mean your unstoppable or can bypass certain rules or physics or even time. There are limitations as to what you can put in a missile or a drone, too much junk can cause these to overload and never work. Simplify your stuff. 
• Your troops cannot travel halfway across the world in 5 days. This should be basic common sense.
• Artillery is not very capable of firing across an entire continent. If it can do that, then that's no longer Artillery.
• Terrain is an actual part of these wars. They are not just flat ground. So if a battle is happening, look at damn map.
• Mobilizations should be reasonable, and no just because everyone in country was trained to be a soldier doesn't mean you can mobilize 5 million people and they are all crack troops. That's unrealistic af. 
• If you do have a large militarized population, then you need to understand that your soldiers are probably going to be considered below average and they would most likely be right. 
• Most fighter jets and bombers don't across an ocean and back just bomb people. They would run out of fuel in the middle of the enemy country. Hence why aircraft carriers and airbase exist. 
• Research some basic knowledge on logistics. Play Call of War, Conflict of Nations, or Supremacy 1914 or even Hearts of Iron 4 to understand basic logistics or at least get an idea on how they work.

Bulletin Spam.

This an actual disgusting attempt at trying to drown someone out or give them no chance to respond. It's disgusting and anyone who does this, needs to stop.

We all have seen examples of people attempting to use Bulletins as a way to overwhelm people in wars while they weren't online. This is disgusting behavior and those who do this should be marked as literal cowards. For Bulletins when it comes to wars you should only make at least one war Bulletin a day or if you're facing multiple opponents, then write war Bulletins about them specifically. Doing this while knowingly your opponent takes more time in writing their Bulletins is absolutely disgusting and it shouldn't be used as an opportunity to abuse the system just so you can maybe perhaps pull a w. Here are some ways we can avoid this.

• Make at least one war bulletin and a different type of bulletin a day if you like making more than 1 Bulletin. This helps avoid the spamming problem.
• If you're fighting against multiple opponents then you can make multiple war Bulletins but they can only be focused on one person at a time. 
• If you do in fact bulletin spam, then your opponents have every right to void some of these. 
• If the issue continues then it needs to be brought up to the UNO courts to settle this.

Bulletin Spam is rather unnecessary and it is not a viable tactic. It just only makes wars even more messy than they should be and this shouldn't even be up for discussion. This is the actual state of rp, that some people think it's ok to take advantage of the fact that someone takes longer writing or has a another life and abuse the system. There is no defending this. 

Conclusion.

This shouldn't have been made but it had too. There's going to be at least 7 more of these Editions. It's pretty clear that rp needs to be moderated and guidelines must be set otherwise this cesspool of toxicity is only going to get worse until no one wants to do this anymore. No one can be trusted to actually do this realistically and with some basic dignity and respect for others. There was originally going to be another part to this about Inactivity but I'm pretty I nailed it on the head throughout this edition, so I figured there is no real need to cover it.
