I just logged into orbis about 8 minutes ago and have witnessed multiple nations making comments on how rp is so toxic. Unfortunately, this is the only thing that people focus on when reviewing the community. People always ignore the positives; whenever a nation exits rp, their bulletin is flooded with majorly positive comments, as seen in the following:

Farwell for now! You shall be missed.

I understand u bro, have a nice break. Wish you luck.

Have a good break comrade

See ya, I hope life improves for ya, don’t worry about the land btw we’ll keep it safe for ya whenever the hell you return.

What are you still doing here? Shoo shoo. Go take care of yourself. Real life takes priority.

When bad things happen to people irl, multiple pages of that bulletins comment sections are filled with bulletins expressing their heartfelt condolences or gratitudes.

These messages are always neglected when the community is under scrutiny. Now don't misinterpret this, roleplay has a lot of factors it can work on like actually using diplomacy, just being nice to each other and accepting our differences. It's a shame it takes negative events to unite our community. So please, I beg, try to be nice to your fellow rper. Accept that we have different opinions, views, and levels of literature prowess.

I know it's short but I actually want to sleep. Now please start being nice to each other so I don't have to keep intervening.

There are positives to the RP community. The reason they aren't talked about is because the toxic negative aspects of it outweighs and overshadow the good. The majority of P&W players don't do RP precisely because of how toxic it is. Even toxic non-RP players won't touch it. That's how bad it is.

part of the problem is not being able to have rational mature debates

Too much goes on in your sleep without your permission, and people have too little trust in eachother to do anything risky

On a positive note, It's cool seeing how dedicated some people are to their nations, and though I firmly believe RP was meant to be an extension of in-game gameplay, its more fun when its something entirely different

Maybe when a new player comes or an old one leaves, we set aside our differences and agree on 1 thing.

One major positive is that I’m here

I’m joking, if anything that’s more of a negative

Honestly, the major positive of this community is that when we put aside our differences we have the ability to have fun and spark bonds of sorts with likeminded individuals or tell great stories with an honestly pretty great community (when you overlook the bad aspects)

That's all true. It's why I didn't leave for good, even if I'm not too active anymore. Because, of course we're not perfect, and to be fair, there's a lot that needs to be fixed, but there's also a lot of amazing stuff about this community. I mean, I clearly remember how heartwarming it was to just see everyone standing up for me when I was too scared to do it myself, and I know that, even despite the toxicity sometimes, there are truly incredible people here. I love this community and all the wonderful people in it.
