The turning point

June 29th 2093

As the Sedrosian chancellor Ataturk travels the nation giving speeches and holding 

conferences to combat extremism, the Ultranationalist leader, Igor Bojevic grows impatient and even outright angry as he meets with several accomplices of his, they have decided that Ataturk is a threat to the movement and must be dealt with in some way, but how remains to be decided on top of this, anger at Sedrosia joining Ausparia in its war against Zetenka has allowed the Ultra-nationalists the opportunity of a lifetime to swell their ranks and take advantage of the distracted nation

Bojevic: I hate to say it, but this is not something that can be solved with diplomacy, because of his public speeches and ability to sway the public Ataturk is a threat, and the reason why building our army has taken so long, we only have 110,000 known soldiers or ex soldiers that have joined the cause and the rest are simply civilian militia or simple party members, I’m sure more trained troops will join but unfortunately the time for peaceful movements has passed and as chairperson of this party it is within my power to declare, that the great liberation must begin before Sedrosia can stain itself beyond repair. However we shall not fight the government alone, not only have two important figures in the Sedrosian government converted to our glorious cause and able to provide funds and insider information but we may also be able to use Turkish instability to our advantage. 

Militia officer 1: Chairperson Bojevic, how can we use the Turks to our advantage

Bojevic: I’m glad you asked, sometimes terrorism is not only the necessary path, but it can be good for business

Militia officer 2: I think I understand, Ataturk is doing a rally in Istanbul in 6 days, if we were to kill Ataturk with say, a bombing, the civilian casualties would anger the Turks enough so that the government would have to divert resources to quell the riots and be able to continue fighting Zetenka, we could march on the capital with much less resistance and force the government to abdicate

Bojevic: Very good for figuring that out, I don’t like murdering Sedrosian citizens any more than you all likely do, but in this situation, it is necessary. Do not worry, the government shall not find out about the attack and my contacts in the government will see to it that the children are not taught of what had to be done to save Sedrosia. As for the logistics of all this, do not worry because my contacts will also make that possible, now bring me some of your more… enthusiastic recruits

The 5th of July 2093

The day began as usual and no signs of what was to come would show, 4 completely radicalized militiamen from the NPP stand in the rented skybox of the stadium Ataturk was using for his rally

Assassin 1: Before we do this, remember, do not speak any words except for the one phrase we were taught in Ausparian

He spits after saying the word Ausparian

Assassin 2: Do we have all the supplies needed

Assassin 3: Yes, are all the bombs placed correctly and wired well

Assassin 4: I was an explosives expert in the SCEG for nearly a decade, obviously I can handle a few pieces of C4 in a trash bin, especially if we get to pin the blame on those Ausparian filth

Assassin 1: very good, now let’s get changed into discuss and do a little “security work”

After about an hour of waiting for the rally to start, 3 sneak backstage and blend in as part of Ataturk's security team, using a voucher given by a young and inexperienced guard to relieve the real team of their watch meanwhile a 4th uses a forged ID card to get onto the roof where he pretends to be a Sedrosian secret service sniper Ataturk begins his speech by talking about Unity amongst the Turks and Sedrosians and how the Empire and Turkey share a common enemy in Zetenka. When he finally begins to talk about how Ausparia is no longer the enemy and the era of hatred is over the assassins make their move

Ataturk: Ausparia is no longer the enemy of the Empire, please let this era of hatred die with those old hostilities, for if you don’t the fascists have already-

The fake sniper takes aim at Ataturk and fires a bullet through his neck, immediately the screams of the civilian crowd is heard and the sniper begins to make a run for it. The Secret service agent in charge looks at one of the fake agents

STS leader: Agent, put pressure on the gunshot and get him out of here quick, we’ve got a sniper

Assassin 1: in a whispering voice He’s the least of your worries

The assassin quickly shoots the Agent in the face, grabs a microphone and shouts  “Ausparia says hello to you AND your slaves you colonialist pigs” in Ausparian, immediately afterward the fourth assassin detonates the explosives that were hidden in the stadium entrance inside of a trash bin and several other bins in the lobby, immediately the amount of casualties seems astronomical as hundreds of Turks attempted to escape through the doors of the stadium before the bomb was detonated. The assassins are eventually able to escape via a speedboat into the Canal and escape into the now setting sun, they will go into hiding for the time being
