The Military Received An Upgrade:

The Dutch Republic has long existed over basic missiles like for anti air or anti tank capabilities. After a lot of research we have finally found working designs for both midrange and intercontinental ballistic missiles. We can place nuclear, biological and chemical warheads on these. For far too long, the only ways we could use nuclear weapons was through our navy and airforce, now we can finally fire off regular missiles for these purposes, being at less risk for our main forces. Thus we are creating a missile/nuclear corps, which will be separate from the other military subdivisions.

We have already begun construction of missile installations on the mainland, Suriname, the DCH and Ningbo. Once we get these installations up and running in a few months, we will finally be able to use our nuclear arsenal to it's fullest extent and potential. It also takes time to get the production of these missiles underway. Because we don't want to wait too long, we bought some true and tested missileso off of the Ajako Confederation. 50 XL-450s and 10 HSBMs to be precise. 

These will be used until our BDK-1 midrange and KNW-1 missile intercontinental ballistic missiles can be produced in large enough quantities to make an actual difference in any armed conflict. This would not have been possible without our great scientists, thank you. Also many thanks to the AIVD who's spies have infiltrated foreign powers and stole missile silo designs to speed up our progress.

Polio Makes a Comeback:

Willemstad | 11-03-2093.

A new strain of the Poliovirus has been found in a lab in Willemstad, DCH. This more agressive form has a lower incubation time than regular Polio. It is also is far more contagious than the old version. As of right now, there's only one tes- patient infected within the world. This patient has received the Polio vaccine, but is still in critical condition. Doctors and scientists are doing everything in their power to cure this poor patient.

Local experts claim that the lab where the disease was found, used to be a lab for biological and chemical weaponry. They also claim that this is a test to create new weaponry for the Dutch military. President Kuyper has heard of these statements and claims he is aware of the history of the lab, but that it is no longer used for that purpose, and that these accusations are hateful to the doctors and scientists working tirelessly in that lab to keep the infected patient from dying. We'll keep you updated.
