United Area of Illinois celebrated six months

The Kingdom of United Area of Illinois (UAoI) celebrated six months as a nation two days ago. The leader of UAoI, Princess Hermione Granger, declared the day to be a national holiday for all citizens. There was a National Fair and Celebration held in Granger City in honor of the special event. Princess Granger estimates that around 700,000 people attended the event. “I'm very pleased with the success of the nation. When I first became the mayor of Granger City almost five and a half months ago, I never imagined that both this city and our nation would become what it is today." Granger became the second leader of The Kingdom of United Area of Illinois on April 5.

Granger laid out some goals for the future. “I've been looking towards the future. I have a list of things at home that I would love to see happen over the next few months."

Granger has already signed a law designating the one year anniversary of UAoI as a National Holiday as well. There will be a ‘Mid-year fair’ and a winter ball held on the day of the one year anniversary.
