News from The Capital:

Operation "West Augustine" Takes Full Effect

As of this evening, the Party has announced the commencement of "Operation: West Augustine", which constitutes an emergency operation to reinforce the northern regions under siege, particularly in Pensacola, which was lacking in defensive protections as it was not considered a major or vital target until it was already under attack.

The Command Center of the operation will be near Panama City, the exact location being classified for obvious reasons.

Though the formal numbers are being concealed, the estimations of soldiers being sent range around 30-35 thousand. This is less than the total enemy force facing the city, but the Party is confident they can reinforce with these numbers, considering the heroic defense the city has experienced, despite being reduced to utter ashes and rubble.

Critical infrastructure damage, including the bridges and ports in and around the city, means getting units into the city will require driving back the enemy at least from the coastline, and shipping in units via landing craft. Two invasions are planned, one directly within the vicinity of the city, and another to the east of Escambia Bay.

Among these units include Rimskaya's "Ubercharged" tanks, developed and used during the Civil War with Armeizka(https://politicsandwar.com/bulletin/id=32259/rimskayan-scientists-successfully-create-bercharged-tank). These tanks, though very few, can withstand hits from virtually any conventional projectile short of a direct hit from heavy artillery or jet missiles, and electrical weapons (original diagrams suggested anything short of an atomic strike; this has since been disproven).

The Air Force is in the process of revitalizing their 3800 active jets defending the north, and plans to clear the skies at least around the downtown area, with the help of about 200 experimental anti-air units modeled off the ZSU-23-4 Shilka, with added armor. New Rimskayan bombers are also being researched, but these will not enter production fast enough to help, so the fighter jets are also left with the task of eliminating the nearly 6,000 heavy batteries shelling the city and surrounding areas. These batteries are expected to be well guarded, as their assistance has been a critical value to the invading soldiers, and the anti-air of the enemy has already proven deadly.

The Navy will be responsible for securing the naval invasions, and preventing any enemy naval support. All sections of the navy have been greatly disrupted by indiscriminate and criminalistic attacks on both militant and civilian craft by the enemy fleets, however, a portion of the Gulf Fleet numbering around 50 total ships of varying type was able to retreat inside of Apalachee Bay in the Big Bend area, and has regrouped. They've been equipped with improved anti-submarine sonar and depth charges, as well as anti-submarine helicopters. They will also be constantly supported by the most elite section of the air force legions, based in the capital, which has been secured following numerous breaches and bombings by Nukeyan aircraft.

The Party would like to reassure Rimskayans, especially those around Pensacola, and any in the city that still has connection to the outside world, that the Revolutionary People's Army is on the way, and will not give up the city without a fight.

Tallahassee though, nah we'd evacuate that up in a heartbeat. Probably self-destruct it too before leaving. Fun to watch the fireworks of the old regional capital of the predecessor state that Rimskaya had to overthrow to be formed.

OK nice bulletin, and nice tanks, but you do realize that of those aircraft probably less than 10% survive

We’ve specifically targeted your airforce with our strikes, even more so than communications infra.
