In a village used as a rebel stronghold burns and its inhabitants are lined up along the wall of a local church The men responsible converse in fluent German, they all wear somewhat different clothing and equipment but every troop carries a black gas mask and bears a black patch with a red eagle, apparently to identify them as what they are, members of a German Mercenary/paramilitary unit known as the Blutadler-Gilde, suddenly one of the Mercenaries speaks up in fluent Polish to the villagers
Merc 1: Listen up everybody, we are after traitors and traitors alone, so if you all cooperate, we will have zero problems and we will put out any fires and leave this village immediately, should you all fight us or attempt to hide our targets from us, things may get ugly, so please choose wisely
Villager 1: Just leave us alone you bastards
The Mercenary chuckles before grabbing the villager and holding a combat knife up to his throat
Merc 1: I could kill you now but I won't, however if you continue to test me I might have second thoughts
A jet black helicopter appears overhead and lands in a nearby field, a man and two more heavily equipped mercenaries jump out and it is immediately noticeable that the man is of a higher rank than the other mercenaries as he wears an officers suit and a beret with the merc insignia and walks with a confidence that shouts “I am in control now”. The first mercenary then looks at the villagers
Merc 1: Well the big boss is here now, so show respect, because he might not be as patient as I, and could certainly convince our employer to give us some more “freedom”
The merc leader speaks up
???: That’ll do Hans, I can't allow my lieutenants to do my whole job for me
Hans: Very well, I'm assuming you'd like to take over from here
The leader gives a sadistic half smile
???: You know me so well, yes I believe I would love a more hands on approach to my field
The leader points at two young children huddling behind their parents
???: You two, please grab those two hiding behind their parents, I believe this village needs some encouragement and as we are on a tight schedule, we must start with them
His guards push through the crowd and grab the two children, 6 other mercenaries then point their assault rifles at the other villagers to keep them from rebelling
???: Thank you, this’ll make my job 10x easier
With an overly friendly smile he begins to speak to the crying children with his pistol in right hand he holds his left hand out to shake hands
???: Hello young ones
The kids spit on his glove
???: That was not wise, now i’ve gotta play bad cop
His guards shove the kids to the ground and he fires his revolver once into the air to prove it is loaded before taking aim
???: We’re gonna play a fun Gambling game, every time you refuse to tell me where the Polish revolutionaries are hiding, I pull the trigger once, quite similar rules to Russian Roulette, except there's only one winner here, and that's yours truly
He takes aim at the left child and fires but nothing happens
???: Lucky one I see, lets see if your sister is the same
He does the same with the sister and yields the same results. one of the townsfolk then stumbles over to the mercenary leader and is barely able to get his words out
Villager 2: I-I-I-I know w-where the p-people you're l-looking for are
???: How wonderful that you’ve decided to spare the people any more fear and pain, where are they
Villager 2: T-t-the basement of that house over there
The man points to an untouched house on the edge of the village. The mercenaries go to inspect the house and pull out 12 rebels and line them up along that house wall, one of them carrying a message from rebel command that gives detail on a coming rebel attack on a Ukrainian convoy carrying ballistic missiles, the merc leader grabs it
???: Thank you, and now that i’ve gotten what I come for—
The rebel quickly pulls out a gun and attempts to fire a shot at the leader but is interrupted by a shot to the abdomen by a sniper in the nearby watchtower, as he falls the merc leader kicks the gun away from the rebel soldier and begins to load a bullet into his empty revolver
Villager 2: B-but I thought that was loaded, you literally played Russian Roulette with children
This prompts a smirk form the merc leader who responds with
???: You only need one bullet to get your way
The villager becomes angry and tries to swing a metal pipe at the merc who swiftly dodges and delivers a massive gut punch to the villager
???: since you gave me what I want, I won't kill you, but I do need to take a little tax from this village for our trouble
He orders his men to take any valuables from the village that are not nailed down and to at least make an attempt at the ones that are, he then walks over to where the rebel soldiers are being rounded up and orders them to be taken into the wheat field on the town outskirts where he has them all lined up for execution
???: don’t worry death will come quick, i'm only a little bit of a monster, now kill them
A merc proceeds to shoot each rebel in the back of the head/neck (spinal cord), killing them all instantly or leaving them to bleed out quickly
???: put the mark down quickly, we leave in an hour
The soldier then puts up a cross that has the Blutadler-Gilde symbol on it with the words “assignment managed” underneath it, then another soldier carves a makeshift eagle into the backs of the victims (unfortunate victim fly high)
