Dutch Republic Recognizes Uchama:

Amsterdam | 30-10-2092.

Today, the 30th of October in 2092, is a historical day. President Boudewijn Kuyper and Minister of Foreign Affairs Rogier Roodman held a press conference today. They originally did not announce what the purpose of this conference was, but after a while it became clear that it was a big event. After some diplomatic dealings between the United Kingdoms of Victoria and the Communist Republic of Uchama, it was agreed that the Communist Republic of Uchama would seize it's claims on Dutch lands in return for being recognized in Wallonia and Luxembourg. In the conference it was announced that the Second Republic of the Netherlands would also extend official recognition of the Communist Republic of Uchama within the lands of Wallonia and Luxembourg. We're proud to announce this and hope to see a bright future of peace and cooperation with Uchama.

Advisory Referendum for Independence in Vlaanderen:

Brussel | 28-10-2092.

After repeated use of hostile rethoric by the nation of "Ukraine", the government of the Second Republic of the Netherlands has decided to hold an advisory referendum in Vlaanderen to see what the people think about independence from the Netherlands. The results were overwhelmingly against independence. The reason for this is that Belgium as a nation was dysfunctional, with no cultural identity and constant ethnical tensions. The nation of Belgium held the Guinness world record of longest government formation in the world in the federal elections of 2010. The country was left without a government for 541 days, because the party that won in Flanders didn't run in Wallonia and the other way around, making it incredibly hard to gain a majority, the parties from Flanders also had different goals than the parties in Wallonia. The holder of this record beforehand was also Belgium, when it was without government for 194 days in 2007.

Many people in Flanders also argued for the reunification with the Netherlands because a combination of owning the ports in Antwerpen and Rotterdam would make the country a very strong European economy, much stronger than it could ever be when Belgium was united. It was argued that the Dutch speakers were discriminated against, since less and less government members could speak Dutch and the Dutch identity within Belgium was slowly eradicated from the nation, to be replaced with a French identity. The people of Vlaanderen celebrated the Dutch annexation, local politicians even going as far to proclaim Vlaanderen saved from cultural !@#$ by the French.

President Kuyper also dared "Ukraine" to hold a referendum to see if their national unity was as strong as ours, hinting at the struggle of the Polish people against foreign oppressors, after being forcefully displaced from their homes, killed and forced to submit to communism. The "Ukrainians" undid everything that Solidarność worked so hard for, and then has the audacity to critize the union that actually improved Vlaanderen. We stand with the Polish! Solidarity!

Dutch Forces Withdraw from the MAOZV:

Liegé | 26-10-2092.

A quick withdrawal of Dutch Forces occupying the Military Administration of the Occupation Zone in Victoria occurred. Since Uchama took over the territory, Dutch troops have no right to be there. Within 2 days, the Dutch took all their equipment and soldiers out of the lands, and Supreme Commander Winkelman signed an act dissolving the MAOZV officially. This is another step towards peace and cooperation in Europe.

The Netherlands Expands It's Nuclear Arsenal:

Several Cities | 30-09-2092.

The repeated hostility towards our nation has forced the Dutch nation to begin expansion of it's nuclear arsenal. Formerly holding 10 basic nuclear bombs, Dutch scientists are now building 60 Megaton nuclear bombs. 10 to be precise. This project will be expensive, but it is a neccesary step in the protection of our country. Dutch scientists are also working on chemical weaponry, designing a [REDACTED] that can [REDACTED]. We will not lay down and roll over for nations set on disrupting world peace.
