Battle of the Black Sea

The Zetenkans have put up a commendable fight thus far and for that, the Ukrainians commend them, but the Zetenkans did not account for one simple thing, the near complete lack of foreign support that Zetenka was getting vs the support given to Ukraine by the Soviets and other surrounding nations. Sadly Ukraine did not account for something themselves, the willingness of Zetenka to ruthlessly destroy ships and attempt to blockade an entire sea. Now if Zetenka is to lose this battle of attrition is to be won, then this attempt at a blockade must be destroyed.

So meetings between Colonel Tytovsky and the Kremlin would decide it, the blockade is to be destroyed by any means necessary.

So a for now separated taskforce of 27 Ukrainian vessels and 21 Soviet Support vessels were given the order to perform a pincer maneuver on the Zetenkan blockade, the Ukrainians would first approach the blockade from a distance and begin firing rapidly on the Zetenkan warships, while the Zetenkans focused on the Ukrainians, the Soviet vessels crept up and began firing on Zetenkan vessels from the other side. The primary goal of this mission could now be set in motion, for just as the Zetankan carrier in charge of the blockade began to release its aircraft, a group of 12 Soviet/Ukrainian submarines had arrived just in time to play their part. On the 1 hour mark since the battle had begun, the order was given and the Submarines began their assault, the 6 Ukrainian subs each lined up their targets and fired, 4 Zetenkan warships would go down, 2 would be spared but take incredible damage. Next 3 of the Soviet submarines would fire a torpedo at the Zetenkan Carrier, the all had aimed for the same side so that the Carrier could quickly capsize and prevent any Zetenkan aircraft from landing during the battle. By now the Zetenkans had fully noticed the Submarine threat and they began to use their anti submarine weaponry. 1 Sub would quickly meet its end at the hand of a depth charge. Another would attempt to surface but would be caught by a Zetenkan Fighter. However 3 of the Soviet subs would surface a bit away from the battle and fired their missiles towards air bases in Sevastopol that Soviet spies had placed flares in, 18 missiles would be fired from these subs in total and 11 would hit true and take out over 110 Zetenkan planes that were preparing to take off and aid their Naval comrades, 2 would end up blowing up midair, 4 would be shot down by Zetenkan anti air, and the final missile would unfortunately overshoot the target and hit a Zetenkan residential complex. This gave Ukrainian aircraft the green light to enter the fray. By the end of this long and tiring battle the Zetenkan blockade was blown wide open and naval dominance for now destroyed with the casualties looking like this

Zetenka:

22 warships (mostly destroyers and frigates)

1 carrier

163 aircraft (from the both missile attacks and the Ukrainian Aircraft wave)

Ukraine/Soviet reinforcements:

11 Ukrainian warships

6 Soviet warships

3 submarines (another one managed to go long enough to reach friendly port but the sub is beyond repair)

47 reinforcement aircraft
