Melon Goes on Complete lockdown

By MDC (Melon Disease Control)

Today The Melon has gone on full lockdown, with no one allowed to enter or leave. After a virus called SVS-92 has spread throughout Europe, we have decided to go full lockdown. Citizens are required to wear masks 24/7 and wash their hands 5 times a day, we currently have 0 SVS-92 cases but that could change. We are so far 17% the way there to a cure. All of the borders now have 10 foot walls and electric fences around it. In fact, On the borders of Melonese Vietnam, Melonese Odessa, and Northern Mainland, machine guns are also on the walls, and our soldiers are firing at outsiders, Anthelme Joly has publicly denounced these actions and asked Billy B to take down the guns as 43 outsiders have already died, but Billy B has seemed to brush these warning aside as the machine guns are still there…

Rookies

Somewhere in Czechoslovakia...

"Well, Congrats on passing the test!" announced General Bly. "WOOOHOOO" cheered the five soldiers, "So can we now actually fight on the battlefield????" asked Greg. "Well, your group has been trained for stealth, so that means you might do missions such as assassinating leaders or saving world leaders" replied Bly. "Before you have any questions, I would like to mention that you will all now have a Number ID, your number will be exclusive to you, and we will call you by your numbers on the battlefield" said Bly suddenly. "Are you being damn serious, why are we supposed to use numbers instead of our real names!" asked William. "You see" Bly started, "Numbers would make it easier, as there are many Johns and Gregs and Billys and Liams, so now using numbers will make it easier to communicate, each of will get a number, and it will be just as important as your skills on the battlefield, now go back to the brackets!", "Yes Sir" they replied and then they ran back to the brackets...

12:02 pm

"Welp, I guess my number is T-2525" said Greg. "Mine is T-9085" replied William, "I probably have the best of all: T-1234", said Dreyden. "What are the actual chances that YOU of all people get the first 4 numbers in that order in your name?" responded Kic. "Well, uhhh, mine is T-4269, butttt just call me, uhhhhh, Jim?" said Hades. "Didn't Bly say to not use your a na- bang bang. "What the hell was that????" questioned T-2525. The answer came 5.19 seconds later as... pewp, Dreyden was shot right in the head by a sniper rifle. The group watched as their friend fell to the ground, dead. They then looked at the window, seeing a bullet hole through the glass. T-2525 pulled out a pistol and shot the sniper, who was preparing to reload. “What the hell is happening out there!!!!?” asked Jim. They then looked outside and… the entire camp was burning. About 27 rebels were firing at the sleeping Melonese, resulting in blood everywhere. “THE ARMORY” yelled Kic. “What about the armory?” asked T-9085, who was surprisingly calm. “LET’S GET TO THE DAMN ARMORY FOR SOME WEAPONS!!!” Kic yelled. They ran quickly, and were able to get there unharmed. “Look, there are… 2 M-16s, 1 AK-47, and…. 5 pistols”, said T-2525 “Why does this armory have so few weapons”, muttered Jim under his breath. “COME ON!!!!”, yelled William. Soon every single Melonese Soldier was awake. And since some had pistols on them, the rebels were pushed back. “There are 26 bodies, sir”, said Captain Nile to General Bly. “Hmmmm, how many rebels did you say there were, T-9085?”, asked General Bly. “28 including the one we first shot, sir”, responded William. “So there are 2 still alive, Kic, you’re a good tracker, so bring the rest of your stealth squad, and MOVE IT!!”, yelled Bly. “Sir yes sir!”, replied the 4 soldiers, and they set off…

In the forest...

The first one was pretty easy, he had messy footprints and was slow, he saw us and realized he could not win, he surrendered and begged for his life “Please, I have kids, this was for a good cause, ok, I’m sorry, please!”. But Kic had no sympathy and shot him right in the head and looted the body. The second man was harder, they found his footprints, half covered, and they followed them, until it came to a sudden halt. No footprints in sight, it seemed like he disappeared, but he didn’t. As then the sniper, who was hiding in a tree, shot and killed William. Jim instantly turned around and shot the sniper, who failed to make a getaway. And the sniper fell from the tree and hit the ground with a thump. Dead as a doornail. They then went back to the camp to tell the news…
