Today at 22:16 President V. Desiderium, alongside Prime Minister Marcus Trontus and prominent menbers of the government, have announced that the State of Emergency will end as soon as the remaining wars with Conservia and Mexifornia are over.

Overall the war has been won, albeit certainly not without great cost to our Nation. At the start, while many of the enemy nations were defeated we have sustained a great defeat from Alyeska, while some other forces that were being held back managed to break through thanks to this defeat. After this however rebuilding was quick and what followed was a streak of victories against enemies whose armies had been pulverized, these victories were fairly costly however as our Nation was targeted by 8 nuclear weapons. The government suspects at least 1 more nuclear attack will come from Mexifornia, while the possibility of one coming from Conservia is deemed to be above 0, for this reason it has decided not to end the State of Emergency prematurely and urging citizens to stay sheltered. Our Nation has never seen such severe nuclear attacks but the government is steadfast and believes that rebuilding will be quick.

With the return to normalcy after 1 month of State of Emergency and the rebuilding period there will be new elections that will no doubt shake up the political landscape of the country. It remains to be seen if the citizens will reward the government for the victories it has achieved or punish it for the nuclear attacks and the effectively lost 08/23 term. What is certain is this has been so far the biggest conflict our Socialist Republic has been involved in.

President Victoria Desiderium concludes her address to the nation with these words: "We have shown that our Socialist Republic is capable of holding its ground even against strongest opponents, and while the damages have been high we remain one of the strongest nations within GATO. Thanks to the co-operation with our allies we managed to be victorious and we will rebuild our nation in no time. Our resilience is nearly unmatched, stay safe and may Harambe bless us all!"

And now, we'd like to remind all readers to stay safe. We will now play our national anthem.
