The Empire of Anice: A Nation Restored

War.. Fire.. Death.. Destruction.. a Return.

This about sums up the nation now known as The Empire of Anice. A once strong and prosperous nation lead by a noble and fearless king met its demise that nearly eradicated the Royal Vehrgarion family. The former king lead fierce-fully and sought peace and prosperity for his people. He lead a successful nation that was a superpower in its sphere of influence. However, due to negligence and family matters, the king's attention to his nation and his people depleted.
Poverty, hunger and anger engulfed the nation and a rebellion was born.

The kings guard and his army could not hold off the firepower of the rebellion. With a country divided- many backing the king and his army, however, many more backing the rebels- the country was torn down by civil war and unrest. Eventually the king and his supporters could not hold off the rebellion and were defeated. The rebels hanged the king for abandoning the needs of his people and the country transformed into a rebel state for 3 years.

The Return:

The kings grandson, Aemon Vehrgarion IV had fled as ordered by the king when he was 18 years of age when the war broke out. Most of the royal family followed suit in order to preserve the family name should the nation be lost. Aemon was different than most of his family- a brilliant tactician, talented in the battlefield, cunning, strategic, and most importantly- incredibly loyal to his country.

Aemon IV returned to his country and gathered much support for a resistance. As many can guess, the rebels, once they took control of the nation, fed only their own families and did not look after the nation. After making several public denouncements in regard to the rebels and gathering support from the good people of his nation, Aemon formed a strong military force over the course of a year.

Just one year after the rebellion took control of the nation, it spiraled into its second civil war known as the "War of the Dragon." The war lasted 8 months and Aemon IV, with his army by his side, advanced swiftly. Nationalism and pride in the old prosperous country stood strong causing the rebellion to be eradicated. The war eventually ended with the battle on the hills of Anice ranch- which was owned by Aemon's mothers family, as this was her maiden name: Anice.

Aemon IV was hailed a great warrior and a savior of a once great nation- the people chose their new king. As a result of the war Aemon has promised to build back stronger and better than ever before and this began with renaming the country: The Empire of Anice.

What's next? With Aemon IV, a young, yet brilliant king leading this nation one can presume the nation will indeed be as prosperous and successful as before. We wait eagerly to observe this unfold.
