"...Do you know that Newspeak is the only language in the world whose vocabulary gets smaller every year?”

Winston did know that, of course. He smiled, sympathetically he hoped, not trusting himself to speak. Syme bit off another fragment of dark-coloured bread, chewed it briefly, and went on:

“Don’t you see that the whole aim of Newspeak is to narrow the range of thought? In the end we shall make thoughtcrime literally impossible, because there will be no words in which to express it. Every concept that can ever be needed, will be expressed by exactly one word, with its meaning rigidily defined and all its subsidiary meanings rubbed out and forgotten. Already, in the Eleventh Edition, we’re not far from that point. But the process will still be continuing long after you and I are dead. Every year fewer and fewer words, and the range of consciousness always a little smaller. Even now, of course, there’s no reason or excuse for committing thoughtcrime. It’s merely a question of self-discipline, reality-control. But in the end there won’t be any need even for that. The Revolution will be complete when the language is perfect. Newspeak is Ingsoc (A Newspeak word meaning English Socialism, the Party’s political creed. ndr.) and Ingsoc is Newspeak,” he added with a sort of mystical satisfaction. “Has it ever occurred to you, Winston, that by the year 2050, at the very latest, not a single human being will be alive who could understand such a conversation as we are having now?” […]

“By 2050 earlier, probably – all real knowledge of Oldspeak will have disapperead. The whole literature of the past will have been destroyed. Chaucer, Shakespeare, Milton, Byron – they’ll exist only in Newspeak versions, not merely changed into something different, but actually changed into something contradictory of what they used to be. Even the literature of the Party will change. Even the slogans will change. How could you have a slogan like “freedom is slavery” when the concept of freedom has been abolished? The whole climate of thought will be different. In fact there will be no thought, as we understand it now. Orthodxy means not a thing – not needing to think. Orthodoxy is uncousciousness.”

One of these days, thought Winston with sudden deep conviction, Syme will be vaporized. He is too intelligent. He sees too clearly and speaks too plainly. The Party does not like such people. One day he will disappear. It is written in his face.

This was a extract from George Orwell's book 1984. we at present are watching this dystopia unfold. The far left movement towards political correctness will perhaps turn into 1984 very soon if nothing is done to prevent it.

The REAL purpose of revolutions and revolts.

The word "revolution" is seemingly positive. The idea of progression from a backward society is a welcoming idea for some. liberalism, socialism and equality? these things seem good for society.

the sad truth is, that revolutions never bring long term benefit to society. More often then not they bring political and social disaster for individual freedom and economic stability. Cultural stability is also lost.

Revolutions and wars change countries in the most drastic and speedy way. never for the better. the majority of the populous always remain more downtrodden, trapped within themselves, unable to escape the economic slavery of existence. It is when we realise that the designers and manipulators of these "revolutions" and theatre wars are not doing so for our benefit. They WANT  to cause an extreme economic upheaval, a destruction of culture and social tradition.

The word revolution comes from the meaning "to revolve, roll back". This is a definition that must be fully overstated in order to allow the reader to understand that revolutions by name and nature are not meant to bring progression to society. Revolutions are meant and planned and carried out in order to bring digression.

in order to bring back society or revolve society back from a state of stability, the powerful manipulators and philanthropists will implement a revolution. This can be done in various ways. All that is sometimes needed is the light and the match... and then the crowd may follow or  be guided along  with propaganda. Social engineering and behavioral science is needed to change beliefs and perceptions of the target population.

This is what is happening in today's "Woke" age. The far left movement is the being funded to become the new Orwellian mob for the future. Social correctness is not what the world needs at all. Freedom of thought and expression should always overcome the need to be inclusive.  Political correctness is a new ghastly phenomenon that destroys the ability for people to be intellectual.

Freedom of thought and expression should always overcome the need to be inclusive.

A respectful critique as a revolutionary state with historical analysis: Revolutions are avoided until they become necessary. The Continental Congress did everything possible to reconcile with the British before committing to American Independence. Trotsky himself admitted Revolution and warfare are destructive to a society, and should never be taken lightly.

There exist in a revolutionary force, counterrevolutionary sentiments, such as revisionists, and as we have found, Stalinists. These to the outsider are mere accusations thrown about as baseless insults, but of course as Marx said, never judge a man by what he says about himself. These forces are of great danger to revolutionary programs and the following society. Every measure should be taken to cast them out, and bar them from the leadership.

As it would turn out, your definition of the word's origin is accurate, dating back to Latin word "revolvo", which means to revolve, that is to go in a circle. This definition is not required to be followed to the letter however: one can interpret it as the old society, upheaval, overthrow, and establishment of the new society. It is a cycle, but the beginning is not identical to the start. Otherwise, our society would still be of ancient or tribal character.

Therefrom I address your criticism of the "woke" left. The actions of the "popular" left, that is the part that receives media attention, is of counterrevolutionary character, that is, it follows your definition of revolution: cycling backwards to a more draconian society. The same can be said of all governing forces however: the return of fascism and persecution of cultures on a global scale stand as evidence of a cracking system. The answer cannot be liberalism or reconciliation; both have outlived any purpose and proven to be sources of betrayal of the people by the reactionary.

Any social movement requires the leadership of people who can change minds. Where is change without it? It is indeed easy to get people to follow you with supposed "credit", that is how the modern world is still barely functioning. Propaganda is rampant, from any and all forces, including that of Marxist belief, for it is a natural result of conflicting beliefs.

Freedom of thought is emphasized by the Marxist, because it is necessary for the idea to exist. Without freedom of thought, there is no Marx; there are no revolutionaries. But from freedom of thought stems inclusiveness; there stems solidarity. Freedom of thought is the origins of critical thought, and from that forms dissent, and the origins of all revolutions. Your idea of freedom of thought contradicts your own negative view of revolution. Social correction is not a task of the state or the reactionary, hence our firm belief that the most revolutionary force is the working class, and ONLY the working class.
