Date: January 12, 2091

In a high-stakes operation that underscored the Kingdom of Victoria's resolve and capability, Operation Periwinkle saw the nation's air force and navy successfully intercept Molossian bombers and jets near the Saunders Islands. Equipped with advanced guided anti-air missiles, the Kingdom's forces thwarted a potential Molossian offensive, albeit at a steep cost.

The operation, meticulously planned and executed, demonstrated the Kingdom of Victoria's preparedness to defend its territories and allies against airborne threats. However, victory came at a price. In the midst of the operation, the Kingdom of Victoria lost nine of its own jets, highlighting the inherent risks of such high-stakes engagements. Despite this sacrifice, the Kingdom's armed forces showcased their dedication to safeguarding the nation and its interests.

Prime Minister Friederic Böhm expressed both pride and sorrow: "Operation Periwinkle exemplified our armed forces' commitment to defending our sovereignty and allies. While we mourn the loss of our brave personnel, their sacrifice reminds us of the gravity of our duty."

The toll of Operation Periwinkle serves as a poignant reminder of the challenges inherent in defending national security. As the Kingdom of Victoria reflects on the operation's outcome, it remains resolute in its determination to protect its interests and contribute to regional stability.
