So... a question I just got is about the research bases we have in reallife: are they abbandoned in 2090? Are they still run by different nations? Are they used to make largescale colonies out of them? I know, that there are/were nations there, but I am interested as to what happened to these and what issues might have arrised regarding these research bases.

And one other thing: If they were abbandoned were the researchers brought back or evacuated, or were they left there because the nation who ran these was in turnmoil? And if they were abbandoned, how would such ruins look? Are there any diaries from researchers who werent evacuated? Is the equipment gone? Or does everything still look like it should? Or... could these researchers actually survive there and build a society?

Recently Antarctica seems to be forgotten and it is interesting to think about this continent regarding Orbis lore again

🌐 Antarctica is far from abandoned. Today, it's a thriving home to an entire Alliance of nations. 🏙️ Where old, shabby research stations once stood, now rise vast metropolises, bustling harbors, and expansive industries. 🚢🚄

Huge initiatives like the Antarctic Ferries and intricate railroad systems have come to life. Many of these innovations owe their existence to ingenious minds. For instance, Francis Frostbird introduced groundbreaking advancements 🌊 that completely transformed sea navigation, as seen in the Icebreaking Innovation on Icefell Island.

🌍 Moreover, the allure of Antarctica has drawn entire nations to its icy shores, as evidenced by the monumental Naleen continent move event.

🚀 And if this wasn't captivating enough, space satellites are now being launched from Antarctica, marking a new era in its rich history. 🛰️
