Yesterday Lord Emperor Ingstar Mandar was honored when Supreme Commander Wreckpro announced that the newly constructed Republican city would be named Morgoth City, after the alias used by the Lord Emperor when communicating with other world leaders. “I'm… glad to make it onto the list,” commented the Lord Emperor, referring to the fact that only a few people have thus far been honored in such a way.

How did it come to be that the Lord Emperor, in his own words leader of a somewhat obscure “great neutral” in a sea of raiders, come to be one of the most respected leaders in the eyes of the Republican nation?

For much of Thrikanian history, there were few dealings with the outside world. The world of complex diplomacy was a mystery to most in the nation and beyond the alliance the Lord Emperor joined, there was little external interaction. Even then, searching for the best place to throw Thrikanian interests to, the Lord Emperor bounced from alliance to alliance, even creating his own at one point in collaboration with a now fallen nation, until with arms twisted the Lord Emperor was coerced in attaching the empire to the Convent of Atom, a preparatory alliance for the powerful Church of Atom. There deft diplomacy won the hearts of many, including Supreme Commander Wreckpro, first approached for a trade deal which opened the famous Republican steel-Thrikanian aluminum market both nations now rely heavily on. The two leaders grew to be good friends that the Lord Emperor was approached early on to be a member of the clandestine breakaway from the corrupt and communistic followers of Atom.

Before the breakaway went public, the Lord Emperor was instrumental in forming the Organization of Free Nations government, in particular the electoral system, as the OFN is one of a few alliances that practice democracy, and the Lord Emperor himself was essential to defusing the tension between the new OFN government and the governing members of the Church. Later, the ties between the two nations and their leaders grew stronger, and the Lord Emperor began his effort to bring the empire out of obscurity and into the limelight, now even sitting on the OFN Senate.

This new city in Republica is a testament to the bond between the two nations, sure to grow only stronger as time passes. Lord Emperor Ingstar Mandar has even gone so far as to make a historical affirmation that he is tying Thrikanian future to Republica and the OFN, never to be separated. Indeed, Thrikanian sentiment already ran deep, and the Republican commendation has only solidified it.
