As per Commissar Augustus' 2090's 10-Year Plan, The National Government has begun a massive overhaul of Rimskaya's manufacturing and productive capabilities, to meet more internal demand.

As of late, there has been a reduction in the amount of focus on State Commerce, and a shift back towards material production, focused mainly on steel production from Rimskaya's expanding iron mines, which currently only meet half the demand for the mills.

Commissar Augustus stated the ultimate aim was to be able to produce a substantial amount of steel by 2095, enough to where there would be no need to purchase it off the market. Currently, coal is in need of regular purchase to power the mills, as the coal mines are destroyed to make way for iron.

The Legislature and Rimskayan Revolutionary Committee (R.R.C.), have applauded the recent progress as a shift back towards the core of the Proletariat, the reviving of Marxist spirit in the factories and systems of production, not for profit, but for general care and prosperity.

Not everyone is satisfied with the new changes, however.

More radical sections of the population, that have recently been in protest, point to the goals of the production increase as adhering to the Stalinist policy of "Socialism in One State", and that Rimskaya is falling on a path that will lead her to economic ruin.

The public round-table discussion between the Commissar and leaders of the Student Action Committees, now formally calling themselves the Young Red Army (Y.R.A.), ended with agreements to keep the peace, but there were only minor agreements in the realm of production and international policy, and in general, the Y.R.A. says they intend to continue their actions until their demands are substantially or entirely met.

The official founding of the city of Narodagrad, in place of the old Mexico City, has warranted itself a capital for the new movement of Central America and others, and is already seeing protests on a scale only comparable to those in Novogo Rima.

Currently, violence is only minor and rare, but the local authorities have considered using this as justification to deploy some sort of police force to at least curb the violence, and any potential riots, news that was not received well by the protesters.

The situation remains uncertain, but Commissar Augustus has reassured the people that he will not let Rimskaya fall into civil conflict or disarray within his reign, and is working tirelessly to protect the union of the state and people, and address as many popular demands as his time and power can warrant.
