On paper the Berglander Republic has a democratic system. But in reality it gets very conplicated because actually bribing is very common in the government:

1st: The President

This is Johannes Cornelissen, president of the Berglander Republic and also head of the christelijk partij which has currently 150 seats in parliament. Born in 2038 he quickly made career as a freetime priest and later on in the christelijk partij. With just 30 years he became president of the nation giving him large power and influence over the affairs of the Berglander Republic. Although promising better life for the Tawantinsuyans nothing happened and the promises ended up being empty handed ones. But he wasnt met with backlash at first: Through smart bribes he convinced members of the Opposition (more on that later) to not talk about these issue while praising his government. He has so much money through taxes that he can do whatever he wants: For the Tawantinsuyans (and the Indonesians) he is a synonym for corruption and evilness, while for the Berglanders he is seen as a rolemodel...

It is however clear that he lives a careless life with the tax money he gains.

2nd The Political Structure:

The Berglander Parliament consists of 300 Seats which in theory are there to represent political parties and to form the Legislative.

In this Parliament 3 Parties exist:

christelijk partij (150 Seats) (Conservative Party)

mijnwerkerspartij (110 Seats) (basically Social Democratic Party)

Inkakunapa oposiciónnin (Incan Opposition, 40 Seats constant)

In theory representing the left, the right and the Tawantinsuyans sounds like a good idea, however there are many flaws with this system:

1st. Interests of the Tawantinsuyans are underrepresented despite their share of the population.

2nd. Cornelissen bribes members of the parliament to vote for his ideas.

3rd. Inkakunapa oposiciónnin is bribed heavily making them overall not represent the Tawantinsuyans, but the President.

4th. Inkakunapa oposiciónnin members outside of the Parliament are also arrested just because they could become "dangerous" for the Presidents rule.

With these Problems The Berglander Republic can be easily called a Dictatorship.

3rd Inkakunapa oposiciónnin

In 2074 new ellections were about to happen. A campaign from Inkakunapa oposiciónnin aimed to raise awareness over the issues Tawantinsuyans face in the Berglander Republic. On March 24 on 2:34 a secret operation was started "deradicalising" the Inkakunapa oposiciónnin by arresting many of the party members who opposed bribes from the President. Around 1200 Party Members were arrested on this day while around 10,000,000,000$ Bribe money was given to "moderate" Party members. A potential peaceful change in the government was prevented and fringe groups of the Inkakunapa oposiciónnin, who lead independence movements today, ironically radicalised.

In an Interview with Pumacaja, member of Inkakunapa oposiciónnin he had to say this about this incident:

President after President ruined our homeland, the land of the Andes... I am sad that bribery is so common... it just halts our development entirely.

Issues here need to be talked about openly, but the President wants noone, espacially the Loyal Berglanders not to know.

This throws us back time after time again. In 2074 we had many of our members removed just because of missing colaboration. They were brave, but were put in prison. In 2080 basically the same, in 2086 again...

When we let Cornelissen continue this we might get a big Problem really soon. And the mijnwerkerspartij also has his brother as the head of the party...

I hope for the best, and not for a civil war, but for civil discussion...
