Defense Minister Adonijah Eretz speaks on the allocation of funds earlier this month towards completion of the Iron Dome missile Defense system.
"There was always a general consensus that this was a step we needed to take, but too many people didn't want to risk giving up funding for their own departments," Eretz told Levannon Journal this week. "The missile strikes carried out by the Saluudin Empire (https://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=509809 ) came as a wake up call. Although our military defeated the hostile forces, we were not able to entirely prevent the loss of civilian lives. Wanton destruction is not something our people should have to live in fear of. So I would say that really united the entire assembly to allocate the necessary funds to our missile defense system."
The measure guaranteeing funding was passed almost immediately after the attack. This morning, a statement from Stone Wall Defense Development confirmed that the Iron Dome has been created.
"Our teams completed installation yesterday before sunset. All units have been inspected and certified ready to protect and defend you, your loved ones, and our beloved country," stated Nehemiah Kohen, spokesman for the defense contractor.
As he finished speaking, Kohen raised his hands in a gesture of hope, saying, "Look to the east, Brownmorgans! Await your salvation! And do not lose heart!
