More than a year ago, Rimskaya fought the war with The Chaos Insurgency. Springing from that was a new age of bulletins in the formation of Luna, our bouts with Nova Mundus, the cringe overload withstood by Nukeya, the Tri-Fold War, countless others, way too many pandemics...
and it has come to today.
Perhaps it was in our benefit to draw back from the world, a world that has now destroyed itself.
I could rant about how this is capitalism's fault, that of the Nation-State system. I have not seen enough of those who have been accused of the most rotten of individuals to form individualized opinions.
But you have my formal disappointment.

And that of my father as well.
He forged Rimskaya to be an equal player, in hopes that maybe the other states could cooperate.
Today they have left that dream, his dream, in disgrace.

To the surviving members of the international community, Rimskaya remains open. We have driven back the fog mercilessly, and nothing further shall stem from it.
Our borders remain open to any refugees from the crisis of collapsing governments.

Luna.
Our closest ally from the very beginning of our return to the world stage against the Insurgency.
They have stood by our side in times of crisis and triumph alike. They have never given up on us.
And yet we have been forced to ignore that their government had evolved into a tyrannical regime.
It was a beautiful stain, shall we say?
We have long contemplated fixes: political protest, intervention, and even a full-scale invasion to overthrow their government and restore democracy. And we have never acted upon any of it.

We have remained inactive, effectively dead outside our borders...

THAT ENDS TODAY.
Rimskaya is known for her "interventions"... it has been the name of our game since the beginning. And so, what better time to do it, than now?
We will not let the world fall to full disgrace, even if the last pockets are but Rimskaya and a few others.
And so, retreat. Pull back and recover.
The shadows treated Rimskaya well when we hid in them. I promise, they will treat you well, too.
The darkness hath served us well thus far. Peace, prosperity, and above all, satisfaction.
There has been no recovery. There has been no salvation.
The pitiful surface wars rage on, the hatred grows louder.
There is no such thing as a hero who has never been a coward at times.
The shadows are always watching. Listening. You all have one- it follows you wherever you go. You cannot escape it.
We are in the shadows. You cannot escape our judgement.
And one day, the darkness shall reach out,
and reclaim what is ours.
There will be one light left in the seas of Rimskaya-
The Moon.

I always had an amazing time RPing with you, Rimskaya. We'll be closest allies and friends always, even now that things are so... uncertain.
I wish things didn't have to be this way...
It's sad to see all these nations departure RP. Sadly I've just had to publish a bulletin announcing my own departure from it all. Hopefully things can get better... one day.
