The Backbone of A Nation | Story Bulletin.

President Kuyper and his staff sat in a meeting room. In the middle of the room was a long table. Attending this meeting were: President Kuyper himself, one of his most trusted advisors and military strategist Koen Winkelman, several other unimportant military figures and 2 representatives of the company that produced arms for the UMSR. 

There was tension in the room, as no one knows why the president had invited these 2 foreigners to a meeting so important to the future of the Republic. The President spoke: "A duty has been bestowed upon me. A duty to build this republic up to the major power it can be." The people in the room remained dead silent. 

"Our nuclear program has already been making great steps after deals with the Iraqi's in the former UMSR, but we cannot secure our future with purely nuclear weapons. That is where you come in." he said while looking at the representatives. "What do you mean, mr.president?" one of the representatives asks. "Your business in Iraq has been effectively ruined by the civil war, and most of the weapons you've produced there have been destroyed in wars all around the world. I want you to reopen business here." The representatives look sceptical. 

"We will grant you several factories here in the Dutch Republic, free of charge. In return you will produce those weapons you made for the UMSR for us and claim they are Dutch." President Kuyper said. The representatives looked at each other and excused themselves for a moment. When they were gone, Kuyper said: "If we get this deal, we can turn the loose militia's into a single unified professional army." Koen Winkelman nodded and spoke "And we can finally deal with the question of the Uchamans."

The representatives knocked and walked back into the room, holding a contract. "Everything we discussed is on here, mr.president. All we require is your signature." President Kuyper looked at Winkelman, who nodded in approval. President Kuyper signed the contract, stating that the factories had to be ready to begin production on July 10th of this year. 

As the representatives left, the President signed an act founding the Dutch armed forces: het Nederlands Republikeins Leger. The NRL was to be subdivided in 3 parts. Het Nederlands Grondleger (NLG), de Nederlandse Luchtmacht (NLL) en de Nederlandse Marine (NLM). The NLG will have 100.000 soldiers while solving the Uchaman Issue, after which it will be expanded and built up massively. Koen Winkelman will act as Supreme Commander of the NLG, as he is a trustee of President Boudewijn Kuyper.

Author's note: Alright here we go. 1. I will go back to using hoi4 for my military designs, idc that it's ww2 !@#$ you will just have to act like it isn't and it is in fact modern, it will also automatically include some !@#$ that's standard in modern times even tho it's not in hoi4; like ERA. 

2. I talked to UKM and realized I hadn't listened to his side of the story, so I did and I apologize for the bulletin which might have come over like a bulletin to make UKM look bad.
