Lunar Air Force bombs Printlin

Following a declaration of war by the Global Watch and Atlantic & Pacific Security Pact on members of the Red Bloc and International Security Pact, the Lunar Order State has taken action against the aggressors.

A squadron of Lunar aircraft bombed the RoDevian capital of Printlin, utilizing both regular bombs and approximately 100 Sedrosian Mjolnir bombs. The bombing both caused significant damages to the city and a loss of a power in areas surrounding Printlin. The attack on Printlin was considered a moderate success for Lunar forces, due to high numbers of Lunar casualties sustained in the attack. 

"We will not stand down while our allies are attacked," Commander Flynn Radcliffe said in a March 23 press conference. "We will go as far as it takes to help our allies in the ISP and the Red Bloc against these aggressive nations."

Conscription policy enacted in Luna

To assist with war efforts, military leaders have announced, for the first time since before the founding of the Republic, an emergency conscription policy within Luna.

Numerous physically able citizens between the ages of 18 and 28 have been conscripted into the Lunar ground, air and naval forces, along with some being moved into non-combatant roles such as medical positions. 

Prior to the enactment of this policy, the Lunar military operated strictly on a volunteer-only basis; some see the change as a significant threat to the previously maintained Lunar democracy.

"I don't believe it," former Lunar president Aurelia Aquila said. "We were promised a return to democracy and peaceful times. The passing of this policy is simply unconstitutional and should be repealed by anyone who cares for the foundational values of the nation."

However, military leaders claim the policy is the only way to have a chance of success in the current global war.

"To those citizens who stand for a return to our volunteer system, I will inform you that volunteer enlistment rates remain low, causing a significant lack of readiness for war," Commander Flynn Radcliffe said in a public address on March 21. "The conscription policy may seem oppressive or unconstitutional, but it is the only way we can possibly have the strength to help our allies — and our own nation, for that matter — succeed."

Please excuse any typos or mistakes. I am quite literally writing this at 4 a.m. because I tried and just couldn't fall asleep (no caffeine this time, though)... anyways, yes, we are now at war once more. 

As I've said in previous wars, I'm sorry if anything I write is unrealistic, but if it is, perhaps just tell me instead of getting pissed off at it and screaming at me. That's all I have to ask. If it's actually unrealistic, it's probably because I'm not the most knowledgeable when it comes to military things, and so I may get stuff wrong once in a while. For that reason, I'm entirely willing to fix things if someone tells me, but... kindly don't just yell at me over it. Just had to say it because otherwise it might happen again...

Also, I do see that this war's already starting to get toxic, and I'd like to remind everyone that we can absolutely have an RP war in a reasonable and non-toxic way. Seriously. Just please calm down and stop being toxic, so we can all enjoy RP instead of just yelling at each other. Thank you :)
