For Many Miles

Mr. Takashi Hideyoshi Fujitora - Famed Chef, Recent Veteran of the Regiment Class, and has a family of 4.

For many miles, they've come, battling with their guns and bombs.

For many miles, we've attempted to leave disturbed lands.

For many miles, we've wished to end the nightmare we've had to live through, and what we've fought against for many a fortnight.

But, in the end, we've finally done it.

For many miles, we've begun to rebuild, wishing for a better future, wishing for a future that's better than the past.

But we've pushed too far, too close.

For many miles, we've spent too much, for many miles, we've made too much.

For now, many miles are going back into a battle that's been thought to be no more.

A battle that had seemed to have been won, a battle for the ages, now just a husk of a former nation lies there, poor.

Jyaihoih Galahiamha's Speech

For too long, we've been battling, for too long, we've urged for peace, and it has been seen that we've lost and won a conflict, won a conflict physically, but forever lost a conflict mentally. We'll never be the same again. We've longed to repair our damaged nation, and we've known that you want to do the same, so many have been reaching towards a future, a future of liquid gold. Despite this, many are still injured, and many more are poor due to the severe amounts of funding we've had to put into protecting ourselves.

For too long, we've been involved in battles that we knew we had no odds in, for too long, we've been kicked to the curb and had to lay there to die, lay there to be nothing more than a piece of trash! Don't you agree with me, my fellow Janguresians? We've done all we can, but all we've can seems to only make things worse. We've tried to make peace, but we've lost millions doing so, we've tried to fight, but all we return to is nothing, no homes, no nothing.

For too long have we bent down at the will of other nations, having to be weak in front of them, have them control all that we do! Aren't we f-ing independent? Didn't we choose to free our nation from oppression from a higher power? It only seems like it repeats itself over and over and over again. No more shall we be oppressed! From now on, we'll take the reigns of our own nation! We'll actually be the government and nation you need us to be, want us to be.

For too long, we've been kicked down, now we shall rise again, like the Sun Dragon in the sky!

October 15, 2088weather_cloudy.png - The Declaration of the Dragon Age.

Can you kind of read this? So, here's the jist of this article. So, I've been knocked down by several nations at this point in the sense that it seems like there is always someone stronger than me that just attacks me. I wish for this to no longer be the case, where I can actually start being a true nation, a nation that doesn't take bull from others. As such, this means I can't just be dang soft anymore. No more shall I be the punching bag, now I shall become the shield.

This doesn't mean that I'll start attacking huge nations, or break diplomatic ties or anything, but it does mean that I'm not just going to act or be like some dang puppet state, at least not anymore. I'm too angry at current circumstances, including the fact that I thought that me and my alliance can't seem to catch any kind of a da*@ break, and I just don't want people to just push me around, cause I'm feelin' like I'm being pushed around, and I don't want to feel like this anymore.

Also, here's what I called the "IMPERIAL Janguresian flag." Maybe I'll start using it, IDK, you decide.

Honestly, this is more of a venting post more than anything, but I am serious about actually being my own nation and being able to make the decisions that'll affect my nation & the world around me, since I want to be able to make a positive impact here, but it's incredibly hard to do that when I feel severely angry, and since I like to write a lot, I figured I might as well have a record of my own feelings in the present moment.

Here's some honest advice

Alliances are a double edge sword
If you want to grow in this game and get any protection, you're going to 99% have to be in an alliance. Sure, its possible to grow and survive without one, but even if you have the strongest nation possible, and you're extremely smart when fighting wars, theres nothing stopping 3 people with like 5 more cities than you from declaring war on you and absolutely crushing you.

Alliances are the best way to grow as well, you get money to build your nation from older players in exchange for your help in wars and tax money.
So why do I say its a double edged sword?

Because you can have very little freedom at times. Diplomacy is king, and criticizing other people or just goofing around can often put you in bad situations. There is always a power dynamic, and you may feel that what's someone thinks is best for you or the alliance is shortsighted etc.
if your interests may differ from your alliance community as whole or the community says one thing is cringe and another thing everyone has to follow, that can be really tough to navigate and you can feel excluded/ashamed.
(There might be some people who disagree but idrc, its my experience)

That's not to say alliances don't have communities, that often times you can have a lot of fun with, be chill with, and meet a lot of great people. Im just saying that you need to be careful about what you say or do if you want to get ahead and not be attacked, which makes sense but it still sucks.
Heck, I even laugh at people who are in alliances that advertise themselves as having more "freedom" I know that these nations are ultimately going to have less growth and get attacked more often. However, these are people who may honestly just value having that sort of freedom over pixels and growth (but they'll still complain and get angry when attacked, ofcourse)

So my advice is, if you don't want to get attacked and want to have a lot of growth, you should join better alliances, not like Red Lotus but Macro alliances (Top 20/15-1)
However, if you just want to be chill and test things out and do your own thing, you dont really care if you get attacked and lose wars, you can do exactly that.

You are going to have a tough time if you stay in an area where you're being attacked but dont have the allies to push back against that, or even competent allies to coordinate so.
Im telling you right now the Order of the Red Lotus is probably not the best alliance for protection or growth.

Im saying everything else because I want you to know that there are options, and that you shouldn't just join an alliance to grow and be protected, you should find a community that you feel comfortable in and feel suits you.
Bye

People often knock bigger alliances for "Lack of freedom" but frankly, there's nothing someone like me can't do that someone like you can.

I've written bulletins just as well, I can declare wars if I really want to, customise my nation how I want, leave at any time (As long as I don't have debt) and the whole 5 miles. There's nothing that "Restrictive" about being in a macro, that'd be stupid and you'd see way more macros losing members to nanos like Red Lotus, but you don't. Because macros survive and thrive off of their members, and keeping their members pleased is top, whether that be through winning wars or letting them have freedom & growth.
