Our brave military has faced many dangers in the past months defending and projecting Gallian interests both home and abroad. Many have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our great nation so that the Gallian way of life is not threatened by those who seek to destroy us. As more soldiers are coming home from the war more awards are being issued to the brave warriors that fought for our banner. Including an entire division being awarded the Randgriz Crest of Honour for its courage and unwavering commitment to carry out the Emperor's will. The 709th Panzergrenadier Division (Windhund) was occupying a position near Burkittsville, United Liberty of Nations when they began taking heavy fire from the enemy forces holding the town. Moments later, the enemy began an assault on the 709th's position. The 709th engaged the enemy for 4 hours before the attack ceased. Reinforcements from the 7th Panzer Division(Gespensterdivision) were days away. Quickly seizing the momentum shortly after the enemy retreated, Lt. Colonel Vyse Inglebard of the 42nd Panzer Grenadier Regiment commanded his troops "Panzergrenadieren überrannt"! The Panzergrenadiers charged the fleeing enemy into the the city. the 42nd Regiment was then followed in by 43rd Panzergrenadier Regiment, the 30th Engineer Battalion, and the 12th Halifax Fusilier Battalion. The 709th began to push the enemy troops hard into the center of the city. The city would be captured by the 709th some 12 hours later. As a result of this action the Emperor has decided to award the entire division the Randgriz Crest of Honour. Such a high honour has never been bestowed on this scale before. With such speed and ferocity, Windhund Division truly lives up to their namesake. The awards ceremony will be conducted on June 6th at the Nagoya Military Academy in Randgriz.
