GBN- As the Gavastekan general election draws only 6 weeks out, the third executive council district (ECD) has seen two front runners appear with the exact same name. The third district—which is made up of primarily the nation’s capital, The Sütheim—is very left leaning, and oftentimes elects members of the socialist and labour parties for their council seat.
In this election, the two leading candidates are August Lindgren (Labour), who is the current incumbent Head Councilman, if elected would be his last constitutional term in office, and then August Lindgren (Socialist), who has served in the General Counsel since 2084, where he was the youngest-ever sworn in member of the legislative body within the past fifty years.
This election, which will occur on the twenty-first of October, will be by all analytics the closest of all ECD races. Also, there is worry that some members might be confused by which candidate they would prefer to vote for, but these worries were put to rest by the head of the electoral security commission (ELSEC), who reminded voters that all ballots possessed the candidate’s party and photograph.
